Lesley reviewed: Felt picture making workshop in Rugby!

"After waiting some time to get a place on one of Karen's afternoon courses, I was excited to join her for the beginners felt picture making workshop in Rugby. The venue is brilliant, easy to find and very light and airy with plenty of free parking. The groups are small which means Karen was able to help us each individually. Karen is very skilled in her craft and happy to share this knowledge with you to create a masterpiece of your own :) A brilliant afternoon Karen, thank you (and fabulous cake..yum!) Looking forward to the advanced workshop next month!"

Karen Wyeth Contemporary Felt Artist responded:

"Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review Lesley! Will look forward to seeing you at the Advanced Workshop in February"

Oliver van Zwanenberg reviewed: Rucksack in a day workshop

"The Rucksack Workshop was a full-on day of learning new skills. I am new to leather craft and learnt a lot from Rosanna. She is a great teacher, guiding through every step, answering any questions about the materials & process, and providing future recommendations. The studio is a peaceful, creative space to work. The template patterns were ready to use, only having to choose the material from an extensive range of coloured leather, canvas, lining and thread. If I made a mistake, Rosanna helped fix it and showed me how to avoid repeating the mistake going forward. The result was a high-quality rucksack that feels very personal. I found Rosanna to be very accommodating, willing to pick me up from the train station due to travel problems I had that day. I would highly recommend anyone interested to try one of Rosanna’s workshops; there is something to learn if you are a novice or experienced."

Karen Sutton reviewed: Paint pouring workshop with lunch - it's all about making flowers

"Absolutely great workshop. Anne and Sue welcomed us all and I felt very comfortable from the start. Attention to detail was great, lots of info given and 1 to 1 help when we needed it. Lunch was superb as was the venue, can’t praise it enough. My only disappointment was my picture “moved” on the car journey home and was ruined but maybe that was my bad driving ?‍♀️ Thank you ladies for a lovely day… I will be back x"

Interior Boost responded:

Maria Ditch reviewed: Beginners Pottery Day Course

"A couple of months after having completed the one day course with Mathew, I'm still super excited about it and intend to do another day. Mathew runs the course in a workshop at the bottom of his garden, next to a little stream. It is really pretty. There were 5 of us on the course. We were all made to feel very welcome and trained to throw and centre clay, then to transform it into beautiful, practical pots. I came home with several bowls and a cream/milk jug. My friends and family are amazed and many are inspired to book a course with Mathew. Mathew made everyone feel at ease. He's a natural teacher. Even when someone is struggling, he doesn't give up and makes sure they learn in a nurturing manner. I came away feeling absolutely elated and very happy with my work, but also with great knowledge on how to throw pots. It was just so incredible. I LOVED it! I returned a couple of weeks later to collect my lovely pots and was amazed at how great they looked, especially as I'd never thrown a pot in my life before that day! I could've had them posted out to me, but I couldn't wait to get back in Trentham. This is possibly the best present ever given to me by my other half! I loved it. Go for it! Book it and you'll be so glad you did. PARKING - is on the road outside Mathew's house. There is plenty of space and it is free to park. LUNCH - Mathew provides a fridge and hot drinks, you just take your own lunch along. HOTEL - I stayed in the Travelodge. It was inexpensive and a short drive. There was plenty to do at nearby Trentham."

Dimbleby Ceramics - Studio Pottery Courses responded:

"Hi Maria, Thank you for taking the time to leave a lovely detailed review. I had a great day teaching all of you, it’s brilliant to see everyone progress throughout the day. The pots you produced looked fab and it would be lovely to have you both back on the course in the future."

Amy & James reviewed: Beginners Candlemaking for Two - Anglesey, Wales

"I'm sorry to say, we were here some time ago, kind of end of the summer 2021. I highly recommend participating in this as an activity, Anita was a lovely host and a good instructor. With it only being 2 of us it was easy to keep covid-19 protocols in good place and she was very diligent in this area, using instruments to pass items to us and point things out to us, using masks when social distancing wasn't possible. We had a great time and if we're ever in the area again, I'd definaly to go back."

Jane Knowles reviewed: Furniture Painting Workshop (levels 1&2 techniques covered) in Warrington, Cheshire

"I went on a furniture painting level 1 workshop with Jo. I absolutely loved the day, Jo gave me lots of skills and tips how to use techniques such as stencilling, distressing, crackling, waxing and dry brushing to transform an old chair. The environment is lovely and the food very tasty from the cafe. Jo provided drinks and lovely cakes throughout the day. She gave me the confidence to try the techniques and I have definitely got the bug to continue transforming furniture, thank you Jo for a lovely day x"

The Boho Shed responded:

"I’m so pleased you enjoyed the workshop Jane, and Mum’s cakes!? It was lovely to meet you and Hannah, you were a pleasure to teach. I look forward to seeing your ongoing work and hopefully see you again. X"

Colleen Wheeler reviewed: Ceramic moon gazing hares

"Had a lovely day with Linda, making the moon gazing hare. She gave good instructions and waited until everybody had caught up before going onto the next instruction. Very easy going and down to earth. I really enjoyed my day. Linda also politely posted my hare due to the distance involved between the workshop and where I live. Looking forward to doing more workshops in the future."
