Janice Weston Smith reviewed: Kate Morrell willow sculpture courses

"My husband and I attended the course on the 22nd January 2022. We enjoyed our day and found it quite challenging but Kate was excellent in aiding and abetting. My chicken worked out well once I could see where I was going, and the dachshund, which was a bit ambitious for a day, turned out really well after much assistance from Kate. Both were instantly recognisable to our grandchildren. Lunch was soup and filled rolls….excellent homemade produce and along with cake and hot drinks kept us going. I found it fascinating watching Kate working and seeing balls of woven willow become herons and an owl in flight. We would definitely go again. Now I can see how it works I might even be more adventurous and create a flock of hens. Thank you Kate"

The hours whizzed by and before I knew it the day was ended and I had so many new skills to take home and practice. Jane reviewed: Introduction to fused glass (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"I spent a throughly enjoyable 5 hours at Martin's workshop. As a complete novice I was not sure how successful I would be, but Martin was a fabulous teacher. Within minutes we were cutting glass and within the hour had our first piece made. It was a perfect way to be in the moment, to leave the hustle of life outside the studio. Martin was supportive but allowed you the freedom to be creative with a range of materials in a rainbow of colours. Can't wait to see my fired pieces. If you are sitting on the fence about this course, get signed up!"

Amanda Reynolds reviewed: Glass fusing workshop - 1 day

"I had the Best day with John and Jill. Both J & J are lovley people, and run their course with great care making every effort to make your day with them as enjoyable as possible. They patiently take you through all your options for glass fusing/slumping projects, and their knowledge and Skill in the glass arts is awesome!! Jill took lots of time to answer our questions, and was always there to reasure at each step. Their hand made Chocolates, excellant Barista coffee, home made cake, and the cooked lunch was a wonderful suprise. They are not only smashing hosts, their whole approach to life and following a different path post retirement, is frankly inspiring. I want to return and learn more. I do a bit of stainglass work, and Jill has had a possitive effect on my glass cutting technique. I learnt so much. Overall a day with these guys is A++ Book with them, you will not regret it."

Amazing how much you learn and get to make in the 5 hours, the time just flew by. If your reading this review..go for it you certainly won’t be disappointed ?"

Catherine reviewed: Introduction to Lino Printing in Cambridgeshire

"Went on the course with my 25 year old daughter as a Christmas present and they loved it as beginner, could not stop them doing more on the day. I had done Linocut before, and Judith was very attentive to cater to all our aspirations on the day. We both had a fab day and learned a lot. We both love our prints. Judith was great with gentle guidance and gave me extra help as doing extra cut to allow me to finish my 2 piece puzzle lino. We both liked the relaxed pace and the intimate number (we were 3 students in total) so that we could have time and help from you on a luxury almost personal level. The studio is very pleasant and with space and light, a perfect creative bubble. Bonus for being served tea and cookies while happily crafting. Thanks Judith"
