Rebecca reviewed: Introduction to Lino Printing in Cambridgeshire

"A really wonderful day with Judith - she was very helpful at developing ideas but allowing us to be brave too and I came away with several prints that I am very proud of! The four attendees all produced very different prints which was so interesting to see. Really good space for a workshop and good range of materials provided. A small class size meant we had lots of time with Judith to help us! Excellent coffee and cake too!"

Diane reviewed: Introduction to fused glass (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"I was bought CraftCourse vouchers for my birthday and chose to do a Fused Glass workshop with Martin at Martin McAssey Glass. I was a bit nervous as I don't consider myself especially creative and I was also attending on my own. However, I needn't have worried - I had a great day! Martin was clearly very knowledgeable and helpful, but also allowed us develop our own style as we progressed through our pieces. I didn't feel awkward at all - in fact, I was so into my 'creations', I barely looked up and time flew by. Martin had a great array of materials and we could take inspiration from items Martin had on display or choose our own designs. We made several different pieces on the day and I can't wait to see how they turn out after firing! Hopefully I'll have some lovely personal pieces. I would thoroughly recommend this activity. I had a great time and it was fantastic value for money. The workshop is also easy to get to and had plenty of parking."

"What a fantastic course! Very informative and hands on. Covered everything you could possibly need to know about candle making from different types of wax, wicks, colours, scents and types of candle I.e pillar, container, mould. Lovely small group with like minded people and warm drinks and snacks offered throughout the course. Rob delivers a wealth of information and a very enjoyable course. Looking forward to more courses from Rob in the future."

Gitte reviewed: Introduction to Frame Loom Weaving

"I really enjoyed the introduction to frame loom weaving with Alice. I'm not a complete beginner, and Alice instead helped me 'crack the code' on weaving with multiple shuttles at a time. There was a lovely atmosphere, not least thanks to Alice who has such a calm way about her. She has a wonderful attitude to craft and to life and effortlessly combines the two. I highly recommend spending a day learning to weave."

Bianca reviewed: Giacometti style bronzed animal sculpture one day workshop Suffolk one-to-one or max 4 students

"I consider myself a beginner when it comes to art and Di was so helpful and patient when taking me through this course. The space is beautiful and really relaxing, it made focusing and getting lost in the creative process really effortless. Di is friendly, incredibly creative and so knowledgeable - it was such a cathartic and fun process to create a hare sculpture with her. I'd really recommend booking a class with her - either as a 121 like I did, or as a group - because she can really hold space, is warm, fun, friendly and makes the whole process totally enjoyable. Thanks Di! :)"

"Thank you so much !!!"

Charlotte Thomas reviewed: Beginner's Candle Making Private Workshop - Marlow, Buckinghamshire

"I’d highly recommend this course if you’re keen to learn how to make candles for fun as presents for family and friends or to start a candle business. Sarah is an inspiring and professional teacher who knows her stuff - from the history of candles, the types of wax, wicks, fragrances and colours available to the various processes and where to buy the things you need to make them at home. The 3 hour course was relaxed and fun. My 13 year old daughter and I really enjoyed it and were happy to take home a bag full of various candles we’d made ourselves!"

Candle by Events responded:

"Thank you Charlotte, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me."

Sue and Edmund reviewed: Alien spoon carving

"Honestly couldn’t fault Alan and his partner in either hospitality or the delivery of the course itself. Booked for my 11 year old son who Loves whittling, and went along myself. Alan was both knowledgeable and patient. We both left with serviceable spoons (albeit not to the level of Alans!), but more importantly an addiction to do more! Totally inspired - thank you so much!"

Julie reviewed: Introductory pottery wheel throwing taster sessions

"What an amazing experience !!! Booked a 2 hour session for myself, a friend and her daughter. And we loved it so much that we have booked a day long course. Lorraine is such an experienced and caring instructor. She took time to talk us through all the process and kept checking and advising. She makes it all look so easy but it isn’t. Despite that we all managed to produce some acceptable pieces. It is something I would completely recommend to do."

Julia Forte reviewed: Stained glass taster day in Worcestershire

"We had an absolutely fabulous day with Vicky and Vic! I bought the day as a present for my mums birthday, and my dad came along too. All three of us really enjoyed it. Mum made a beautiful fusion glass dish, I made a humming bird with copper foil and soldering and my dad made a stained glass boat panel with leading. It was so interesting to learn about all 3 techniques and a huge insight into what goes into making stained glass pieces. Vicky and Vic are so enjoyable to be around and really made the whole experience a real joy and nothing was too much effort. The lunch spread was really tasty too! A fantastic day out and I would recommend to anyone! Thank you so much."

Kingcot Gallery responded:

"Hi Julia Thank you for the review, it was an absolute hoot having all three of you in the workshop! Here's to free spirits and naughty corners!"

CharlotteH reviewed: Glass fusing workshop - 1 day

"I can't recommend this course enough. Not only the chance to try a new craft or build on existing skills but also because Jill and John are so very welcoming and look after everything to make your day extra special. The high quality coffees and hand crafted cakes and chocs really help to put the gold ribbon on things. Whether this is your first time being creative with glass or your 101st time Jill can give you all the support - both practical and artistic - you need. They are both very easy to spend the day with and cook up a 'proper' hot lunch for you. Don't hesitate to book up."

David reviewed: Watercolour techniques for all - 4 week online course Tuesday evenings via Zoom

"5 Stars I can strongly recommend the workshop. By the end of Purnima’s 40 minute zoom class I had produced a picture my wife wouldn’t have believed possible. Being a complete novice it came as a surprise to see what I could do with guidance. I feel fortunate to have found this new interest -- such a shame I hadn’t realised at the start of the lockdowns.
