Richard Lowe reviewed: Woodturning 2 day workshop

"I have just attended the first of a 2-day woodturning course with Andy which was a wonderful experience. He and his wife Mary were very warm and welcoming and quickly set me at ease. We started by focusing on tools, the difference between scrapers and gouges and the methods of sharpening them, but soon I was getting hands-on experience of different techniques for both spindle and bowl turning. Andy's knowledge and experience of the subject are impressive, and he is a great teacher! I came away with my first bowl, an appreciation of the breadth and complexity of the subject, and keen to get in some practice before returning for day 2. Thanks Andy!"

Andys woodworking responded:

"Thanks richard , looking forward to the next day Andy mary angus"

Sebastian reviewed: Beginners 1-day 1-2-1 woodturning workshop for 1 person

"There are already so many nice words for this course and Simon and I can only agree and confirm. It was a very nice 3 hours course I had with Simon and because we had a nice chat about the world. We had to make it even a bit longer so I can take my own Honey spoon home with me (that I am now showing proud to any visitor coming for brunch). Simon is a great teacher, with passion for what he is doing that makes sure to give each person the best learning exciting fitting their individual needs. I can recommend this course to anyone that want to get to the next level with his Woodturning skills or if you just want to find out if woodturning is something for you."

Jodie Pritchard reviewed: Mosaic workshop at Jackie Nash Art

"I had a brilliant day on Monday at Jackie’s one day mosaic course. Jackie was a fantastic host and her experience and passion for mosaics came across from the minute I arrived. There was just 3 of us in the group which meant Jackie had plenty of time to support us all and was a great teacher! I had great fun creating my mosaic and I’m really proud of what I accomplished in the time. Nothing was too much trouble for Jackie - she even got in gluten free snacks for me to go with my coffee! I recommend the session wholeheartedly and am sure I will be back for another go soon!"

Estelle Hackett reviewed: Pottery Throwing (Group Discounts Available) Lessons in Worcester

"We booked a family pottery session with Chris, what a lovely experience we all had. Chris is clearly very knowledgeable, experienced and patient he provided us all with confidence that we could come away with three pieces of hand made pottery. All of us absolute beginners made three very unique pieces. Looking forward to returning to pick up our items once fired, he has sparked a desire with our children to take pottery up as a hobby."

Chris Greening Pottery responded:

"Hi Estelle. Many thanks for the lovely review. Really pleased you all enjoyed the session and that there may even be interest in pushing it further as a hobby - what a wonderful endorsement! Your pots have just come out from their first (biscuit) firing, had a transparent glaze applied to them to bring out the patterns and colours from the slips you decorated the pots with and, will be going back into the kiln to bring those colours to life mid next week. Get the tapas evening planned, I'll be in touch towards the end of next week to arrange collection. Best wishes, Chris."

Jacqui Hobson reviewed: One day stained glass classes by Le Breton Traditional

"I had the most amazing day on the stained glass making course. Matt is exceptional and I learned so much throughout the session. I had never done any stained glass making before and managed to produce a gorgeous light shade with six small panels. Matt introduced the history of stained glass and quickly moved us on to practice cutting before we were ready for choosing colours, making the shapes fit to the design and using fantastic equipment to make smoothing off easy. We had learned how to copper foil and solder in the tiffany style by the early afternoon. Matt was so helpful and knowledgable and passed this on to us with care, enthusiasm and supported every member of the group so that everyone left at the end of the day with a beautifully finished piece of work. I'll definitely be going back for more."
