Helen reviewed: Printing with Gelli Plates -Pictures or memory book pages

"Great fun! An interesting, informative and very productive day. Barbara guides you through the process, then lets you experiment with colour and stencils. She is happy to share her experience and knowledge and readily steps in if you are about to go wrong or need a bit of help. I left with more printed papers than expected and the bonus of a personally printed little tote bag. Highly recommended "

Feltworld - Creative Arts responded:

"Hello, thank you. I loved your designs and hopefully you will frame some of them and collage or scrapbook with others. Well done and keep printing 😁.. "

Alan Wilson reviewed: Pottery throwing day for two in the South Downs National Park

"We had a wonderful day with Rowena. It was the first time either of us had tried making ceramics on a potter's wheel. Rowena was extremely helpful in explaining and guiding us through the processes. More than that, it was really good fun. We learned loads and laughed a lot. A really super day out, which I couldn't fault in any way. "

Paddock Studio Pottery responded:

"Hello Alan and Gill , thankyou very much for taking the time to write a review. Very pleased you enjoyed your day with me. I'll be in touch once your pots and tiles are fired. Bye for now Rowena "

EMMA reviewed: Fundamentals of Italian fencing - Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA)

"Had a lovely day today even with the rain. We were met by two chickens before we met Jude, as we were early. Got to try different fencing moves, and got to see loads of different swords and had a great history to the experience. We had a tour of the grounds. Best thing is to give it a go and learn new things. Loved the chickens, they wanted to come say hi or to distract us. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming."

The English Country House responded:

"Emma, it was a real pleasure to meet you both today, and thank you so much for your kind words and review. You two are a wonderful team, you’re two lovely and deserving people and it would be our genuine pleasure if you stayed in touch, our gates will always be open to you both. 🙏🏻 All the very best for the future and success in all that you do. Jude x"

Richard reviewed: Green Wood Creative Seating - 6 Day Course in South Devon

"I loved this course & am really pleased with the bench that I made. It was amazing how Peter was able to guide each of us despite us making such different things. I have been on a two day course previously but never put a back, arm or rails on anything before. Good atmosphere & constructive. We had a couple of barbecues too& even managed to squeeze in a bit of spoon carving. Highly recommend."

"I had a marvellous day yesterday. Denny is very helpful and will guide you as much as you need but also leaves you get on with it when you want. All takes places in a tranquil setting in a garden studio. She is very talented herself and has beautiful works dotted around . And a major plus - lovely Daisy the black lab. "

Chandrika reviewed: Get to Know Your Overlocker with Geraldine Sykes

"Thoroughly enjoyed the course. Came out with knowledge and confidence to use the overlocker as I was a total newbie. Was a small lovely group and the instructor Geraldine was very attentive and friendly and the teaching was nearly one-to-one. Good location, parking facilities and a well-equipped craft goods shop as well as an on-site cafe made the place even more convenient. "

Tudor Rose Patchwork responded:

"So pleased to hear you enjoyed your day. Do hope we see you again. Regards Joy"

Maurice Conlon reviewed: Learn to turn in Snowdonia, North Wales - Full day

"My wife gifted me this course and I’m so glad she did. From the warm welcome to the expert tuition with as much hands on tools as I was willing to try, Les’ session was outstanding. Although a competent DIYer, I am a novice at wood turning and came only with the most basic outlines of ideas, yet with Les’ help I turned out a really lovely (and useful) beech bowl with double channel for me to use as phone stand and nick nacks on my dressing table, and a stunning (if I say so myself) simple but elegant oak stand for our table candle vase. I’m already thinking of design improvements for my phone stand and contemplating a return session for more. Thanks Les!"

Pren responded:

"Hello Maurice ... I'm so glad that you enjoyed and valued your day. It was a refreshing change to work on a few different projects, so I'm pleased that they turned out well. Kind regards and many thanks, Les."

Sandi Turner reviewed: Leaded Stained Glass Workshop in The Cotswolds - Gloucestershire/Wiltshire/Oxfordshire Border

"Lovely course with lovely people. I think it helped to have done a copper foiling day first, so that I had some practice at cutting the glass pieces. Very pleased with my finished design, although I need to practice more with a soldering iron! Sharon and Graham are very capable, patient teachers and I am planning on another course at the Craft Barn soon."

Lesley reviewed: Glassblowing Full Day Masterclass

"The 1 day glass blowing class was one of the best courses I have been on. The group was small enough that you got 1-2-1 tuition and Beth made sure that everything was safe and clear. I made 3 items using completely new techniques that I will be proud to show off to friends."

Blowfish glass responded:

"Hey Lesley, Thankyou so much for taking the time to review ! I had a great time teaching you. I think your pieces will have arrived today ! Hope you love them, you did a fab job. X"

Sue Burgon reviewed: 2 Day Woodturning Course for Beginners

"I had the most amazing 2 days with Mick back in November. He is a fantastic and very knowledgeable teacher that is very patient and explains everything in detail and at a level that is understandable for total beginners. Thank you for the best 2 days and sorry I’m so late in posting this "

Cheshire Woodturning and Workshop Training Limited responded:

"Hi Sue No need to apologise. I'm grateful that you still remembered to post a review a few months later. You must have really enjoyed the course! I mentioned yourself recently to another trainee as he too had fallen in love with the internal bowl scraper and I told him about how you had called it the "best tool in the workshop"!! Thanks again. Cheryl Fraser reviewed: Beginners Stained Glass Course, Copper foil work

"Wow, what an amazing course. I have never tried stained glass before and I left after two days wanting to do more at home, so am trying to get all the tools required. Brenda is such an easy person to get on with, which meant that we went at our own pace, that gave us confidence and made the course that much more interesting. I will definitely try to book on another course later in the year."

Kingfisher Glass responded:

"Thanks Cheryl!! So glad that you enjoyed your 2 days and I look forward to seeing you again. "

Beverley Bruce reviewed: Glass bottle cutting for beginners - Sittingbourne

"I had so much fun doing this course. It wasn’t easy but I arrived knowing nothing about cutting bottles and left confident that with the recommended equipment, I would be able to use the skills learned on my own. Everyone in our small group took home the lovely things we’d made including a souvenir of the day to stand them on. I can confidently say that anyone doing this course will have a friendly welcome and leave happy. "

Fancy Tat responded:

""Thank you Beverley so much for your kind review. We very much enjoyed spending the morning with you and we are really pleased that you had a lovely time :) Kind Regards Claire & Janet""

Maureen Murphy reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Fabulous day with Jo in her beautiful, peaceful studio and garden. There was a lot to fit into the day but everything was explained and modelled so we were all able to keep up. What is great is that someone with zilch artistic talent (and I'm not being modest) can produce an impressive hare to take home. I went for a medium sized one and I'm looking forward to putting him in amongst my roses in the gardens. I'll definitely be back to make a little friend for him. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much Maureen - I would definitely say you have artistic flair - it just needed a way to express itself, which you absolutely did! So glad you enjoyed the day and I'm sure your hare will enjoy it's place in your roses. See you again to make a friend, Jo x"
