"I did enjoy the course and came away with a piece that I was happy with. However it was advertised to run from 9:30am to 5pm. In the introduction we were informed that it would finish by 4pm. I feel like if I pay for a day’s course that’s what I should get. "

Field Studies Council, Flatford Mill responded:

"Hi Eleanor, We're really pleased to hear you enjoyed the course, and we are sorry you were disappointed with the timings. Feel free to get in touch with us to discuss this further."

Jayne reviewed: Collage workshop with Helen Norman

"From the moment I was welcomed to the beautiful home and gardens for the Collage Workshop, it was lots of fun and very relaxing to do and I thoroughly enjoyed the session and would highly recommend it. Drinks and homemade cakes were offered and I really could have stayed all day. With a brief explanation of what to do, and samples on hand to inspire us all, we completed some amazing collages and this is something I will definitely do at home. I was super happy when I was offered a couple of magazines to take with me, a perfect few hours spent. Thank you."

Hen House Studio responded:

"So pleased you enjoyed the workshop and thank you so much for the lovely comments. Hope you continue to collage when you get time."

Mark reviewed: Bowl turning pole lathe at Greenwood Days

"Had a really good day, Ade was really knowledgeable and passionate about the subject especially with all of the novices there (me included). Rainy day but still enjoying the atmosphere. Only didn’t realise how fit you needed to be to turn the lathe and do the bowl at the same time. Still really pleased with my bowl."

Mark reviewed: Carpentry Workshop - For beginners

"Hands-on, practical and really enjoyable! I took the Gozzett Carpentry course not knowing much more than how to hold a hammer—and I left with a handmade stool and the confidence to tackle small projects at home. Oliver's teaching style is straightforward and down-to-earth, making everything easy to understand. The atmosphere was really relaxed, and there’s a real sense of achievement at the end. Whether you’re looking to build some practical skills or just try something new, I highly recommend this course."

Kate Abbott reviewed: Metalwork Craft weekend with The Iron Lady - Bradwell Blacksmiths

"I attended the weekend metal work course at the beginning of May. I'd just retired from a very stressful job working in metal health. I felt that I was looking for 'something', I didn't know what but I knew I needed a new direction in life! Before the end of the first day on this course, I knew that I'd found my direction! I can honestly say that I loved every second of this course. Natalie is an excellent tutor and has a way about her that inspires confidence and encourages even the least experienced people to experiment, be creative and 'have a go'! If you are looking for a course that is practical and really allows you to use your imagination and creativity, then this will definitely 'tick all the boxes'. I loved it and I'm already looking into getting a welder and plasma cutter. "

Dawn reviewed: One day fused glass course at North Norfolk Stained Glass

"A fabulous day. Paul was welcoming, knowledgeable and an excellent tutor, encouraging us to explore the techniques and allowing time to practise our newly acquired skills. All tools and plenty of materials were provided. The small number on the course, home environment and lunch around the table was really conducive to a friendly learning environment. I have just received my fused glass creation and am chuffed to bits with the result. Highly recommended and I hope to be back."
