Annette Wright reviewed: Organic Skincare Workshop 2 Attendees £90 per person

"I’m so glad we found this 1 day course for two people. I teamed with a friend and if you think learning is boring you’ve never had Alison as a tutor! She was welcoming, fun, and friendly but most of all knowledgeable and inspiring. We covered so much in a short time and had the chance to make several wonderful creams and oils to take home. We both feel more confident and very eager to try our new found skills at home. I would highly recommend Alison whether you are a beginner or just wanting to increase your knowledge. Thank you Alison from Linda and Annette"

Maid in the Meadow responded:

"Annette and Linda, Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and I'm really happy you enjoyed your day and loved the products you took home. I have emailed you the amended formulae pdf with the updated moisturiser you both made, photographs from the day and the essential oil chart I mentioned in the workshop. You were both an inspiration with the creative pursuits you already do and both so full of energy and laughter, It was a pleasure to meet you and spend the day with you both. 💚 "

Jill reviewed: Introduction to Spoon Carving at Steeky Meadow

"I was excited by the idea of carving a spoon and this course was great, despite this being my first experience of wood carving. Jack is a really good teacher, clear and patient, knowledgeable about technique and also how to use the tools safely. The setting in Steeky Meadow is beautiful and relaxing. We sat in the sunshine, but there was a spacious shelter that could have been used had the weather been less kind. A really enjoyable session and a self-made spoon to take home- thoroughly recommended."

Steeky Meadow CIC responded:

"Thanks for your kind words Jill! It was such a lovely afternoon carving in the sunshine with you!"

J Nash reviewed: Beginners Silver Jewellery Course

"My daughter and I had a great day making jewellery with Mark. We must have had a go at at least 12 different processes, which was so interesting. We both made a ring in the morning and then my daughter made a bangle and I made a pendant. Honestly, and surprisingly, people would pay good money for what we made! Mark was a very good teacher, very calm and encouraging. A thoroughly enjoyable day. My only suggestion is that you work out exactly where the house is within the village before you leave home as it isn’t easy to find once you get there and there was zero signal in the village! I asked someone for directions though, so all was well. "

Jo Johnson reviewed: Crochet workshops in Leeds City Centre

"This was a really good course and Anne was extremely patient at all times. The organisation was excellent and as an introduction to crochet I felt we learnt a lot. We covered the basics and were introduced to a number of stitches- it’s harder than it looks but we both feel that we now have an idea of how to tackle a project! Thanks Anne"

Leeds Central Faith and Light responded:

"Thank you for your review. I'm glad you finally got to grips with learning to crochet. I hope I gave enough to encourage the making of the baby blanket. Kind regards Ann"

Hilary reviewed: Explore drawing, print and collage

"I recently attended the Explore drawing, print and Collage course and would thoroughly recommend it. Alison is a very skilled artist and designer and went through a range of techniques during the day. We made a collection of different patterns and images and then used these to build up different collages. The studio was a beautiful light and creative space- a perfect setting for Alison’s warm and generous teaching style. I stayed in one of the Shepherd’s Hut on the farm so only had a short walk to the barn for the course. My partner had a lovely day locally while I did the course. I know we will be back. "

Blooming Designs - Art in the Barn responded:

"Thank you very much for the lovely feedback, it was great to meet you and work with you for the day. So pleased that you had a lovely stay in the huts and we look forward to seeing you again ! Best wishes Alison "

Donna reviewed: Picture Framing - Woodworking Basics

"One of the very best courses I’ve been on. Vas is an excellent instructor who has designed the perfect course that covers all aspects of framing in an informative, enjoyable and practical way. I’m so happy with my frame and the knowledge and experience I gained during the two days. In addition to learning all about framing, Vas was very generous with his skills and experience and shared tips on tool maintenance, workshop organization, and wider woodworking techniques. He was very knowledgeable, patient and encouraging and created a supportive and fun environment. I researched lots of courses before booking this one and I absolutely made the right choice. Thanks Vas! "

Richard Harry reviewed: Mig Welding For Beginners Introductory Day Course.

"Had a brilliant day doing the introduction to Mig welding course with Tony. Having never done welding before I didn’t know quite what to expect, but Tony went through all the safety aspects first, explained the machine/tools, did a quick welding demo and then over to me for the rest of the day! I tackled a whole range of different types of welding angles and different steel configurations. Tony is an excellent instructor he is an ex college instructor and also work in the welding and fabrication industry for thirty years which shows. I came away having had my expectations exceeded having had a thoroughly enjoyable day learning a skill that I intend to keep working on. I caught the welding bug! I don’t think you will be disappointed doing this course."

Newport Wrought Ironwork responded:

"Hi Richard, I am so happy you enjoyed the welding course. With the new skill you learned on the course and more practice you will be creating all sorts of different things. If you require any further assistance please feel free to contact me. Regards Tony "

"What a fabulous day. Viv is really patient and explains everything in detail. We had a lovely day and I, with a lot of help and support, made what I was hoping to make. I'm so happy. I wish I lived a bit closer so I could come to weekly classes but 2 hours either way is a little to much, even for me. Thank you Viv. "
