Ann Biggins reviewed: Ecoprinting with Bookbinding with Earthwise Ecoprints

"This was an excellent course held in a cabin in Fiona's lovely garden. Fiona is a knowledgeable and very helpful tutor. It was a small group (3) so we were able to accomplish a lot in a day. We did a variety of printing techniques and then completed 3 books using 3 different methods. I went home very happy with what I achieved. "

Julie reviewed: Ecoprinted Lampshades

"Another enjoyable day spent ecoprinting. We spent the morning experimenting with some different techniques before deciding which to use for the lampshade. Fiona is an excellent teacher and we all made beautiful lampshades. Mine turned out even better than I'd hoped! Have already booked another course with Fiona to continue learning more about this addictive craft. "

Molly Harris reviewed: Pick & Mix Glass Fusing Taster Sessions (Open Group)

"What a lovely day out!! I had a wonderful time with my friend when we went, we had great mentorship but also great time free willing designs. It is good to go with some ideas on Pinterest but there were also some amazing examples to have a look at that were already prepared. Fun location in an old factory too. I cannot wait to collect my designs in a few weeks time. "

Dawn Turner Designs responded:

"Hi Molly, thanks for your lovely comments, I am so glad you had a good time. You both made some lovely things, and quite the contrast! - although that's part of what I love, seeing everybody's individual ideas. I am looking forward to see the outcome"

Grahame Gould reviewed: Glass blowing course - taster

" I had a 3 hour glass-blowing session on 14th June 2025 and could not recommend it more highly. Steve and Angie were very friendly and welcoming to me and my wife, who came to observe. Throughout the session they gave clear, easy-to- understand instructions, were enthusiastic and encouraging when I got it right and relaxed and supportive when I didn't. Their expertise and long experience was clear to see and I have now got some attractive souvenirs of my session. Brilliant afternoon. Five stars all round. Grahame"

Chew Valley HandMade Glass responded:

"Thank you for your kind review Grahame always great to hear when someone has enjoyed our courses. It was a pleasure to work with you and also meet your wife. Regards Steve and Angie "

Julia van den Brink-Budgen reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Myself, mum and aunt thoroughly enjoyed our Hare Sculpture Day. Being complete beginners we were quite amazed at what we had achieved by the end of the day, and really pleased with our final Hares. Jo was a great teacher, explaining every detail and helping us all at every stage. Refreshments were also readily available. I would thoroughly recommend everyone to take-part."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you very much Julia 🤗 Lovely to have the three of you together in the studio. Of course, each making completely different hares! It's remarkable considering everyone starts off with the same framework, but that just shows our personalities come through gradually during the day. Jo xx"

Peter and Sandra reviewed: Pyrography (wood burning ) Course with Kez Halliday

"My wife and I wanted to do something different and chose this course. Right from the start we knew we had made the right choice. Great teacher, very patient, clear instructions and advice. We were shown the effects of different nib styles and heat has on woods, and then we were able to choose a drawing to work on. Once over the nervousness we had, it was excellent, as was the result. Thank you for a great day."

Liz reviewed: Pottery throwing sessions on the potter's wheel in Norfolk

"Really enjoyed the pottery wheel session. Pat was a great teacher, explained things clearly and didn’t seem to mind repeating them! We were very happy with the pieces we made and the option of purchasing ( at a reasonable price) more than the 2 included was a bonus. Pat’s professionalism and enthusiasm for her craft shone through and was infectious. "

"Hi, Thanks Liz, you were both an absolute pleasure to teach, it was lovely having you at the studio. Your work is looking good and I will be in touch when I get back from Hungary. Pat."

Sue Cattell reviewed: Enter the world of Pyrography with Bob Neill

"What a great experience I had with Bob and Del Neill! I went with my friend Mark and we were made so welcome. The whole day was a wonderful experience. Bob explained everything so well and gradually introduced more difficult tasks meanwhile helping wherever needed and giving great encouragement. We were kept going with lots of drinks and a wonderful lunch prepared by Del. Bob was extremely helpful - I have been watching Utube and reading lots of books but still couldn’t get things right, but Bob gave me the help and encouragement that I needed and I’m delighted to say that I came away confident that I could now enhance my woodturning with pyrography - before my visit I had almost given up hope and now I feel I can achieve my aims. I can wholly recommend taking Bobs course if you’re interested in pyrography! Thanks again Bob and Del, hope to see you again!"

Lea reviewed: Glass bottle cutting for beginners - Sittingbourne

"This was an excellent workshop. Claire and Janet showed us the full process of upcycling a regular glass bottle into a vase, a drinking glass, a storm lantern, a scarf ring, etc. As tutors, they were very generous with their knowledge, sharing really useful advice from their years of experience. They were also kind and encouraging as we beginners overcame any initial challenges - each one of us was able to take home some beautiful new objects we’d transformed with our own hands. I can’t wait to use this new skill they’ve shown me :)"

Fancy Tat responded:

"Thank you Lea, for your very kind review. We really enjoyed spending the morning with you and we are glad that you had a lovely time :) Kind Regards Claire & Janet"

"My wife and I enjoyed a great day, with something interesting to take home with us. Instruction was kept to a minimum but help and advice were readily available. Very much a hands on day and well worth the visit. Cake and lunch were awesome too. A very select group so no problem with access to tools and furnace. All in all a well organised and memorable day. Thankyou to all concerned. "

Linda Whitehead reviewed: Encaustic art beginners class - paint with molten wax

"I did the encaustic art day with Toni and it was brilliant. Toni explained clearly and demonstrated each technique so that, despite being a complete beginner, I was able to produce some art work I was pleased with. I was lucky that I was the only person that day, so had 1 to 1 tuition, although the maximum number apparently is just 3. I would thoroughly recommend the course."

CG Crafts responded:

"Thank you Linda. It was lovely to meet you and spend the day creating molten wax art. Best wishes, Toni"
