Description

COME AND LEARN SOMETHING NEW WITH ME CHERYL, IN MY NORTH LONDON GARDEN STUDIO. If you are reading this let me grab your attention by telling you that this is going to be your day to remember! I have been doing these classes for quite some years and I am so excited to meet you all so that I can give you a great experience and pass on my knowledge and expertise in this wonderful craft. Trust me you will love it :) These classes are for beginners or those of you who would like to brush up on your existing stained glass skills. At this class you will be learning the traditional leaded method and you will be making a panel that is approximately an A4 size, I will have some nice templates for you to use which will be perfect and you will go home with it that day ! I have a nice selection of coloured glass which will mean you will have a nice balance for your panel. You will learn to cut glass, assemble, lead, and solder and voila! you will have something lovely you will definitely be proud of . There is a limit of 5 people per class, which enables individual tuition, and each student will take home something wonderful that they have created and will have had lots of informative tuition which should be enough for you to go home and set up for practice. I will get you through from beginning to end in one day, which means it will be an intensive class, but I can guarantee that you will have a lovely experience and lots of fun too.

FAQs

I am always happy to make your wishes come true, but at the same time I have to manage your expectations, this craft is all about practice and if you are coming here having never cut glass it is a lot to earn in one day.
I am happy to help you if you have an idea that is realistic and I will encourage you to draw out something that is doable, and you can work with me on ideas.
I do however have quite a lot of ready printed patterns for you to choose from that I am sure will live up to and satisfy your wishes.

I would say it is best not to, we will be handling lead which is not good for pregnant persons. Why not wait till baby is born and then take your well earned break and come and join us when it is safer!

I myself suffer with agoraphobia and stress, you have come to the right place! If at any time you feel uncomfortable, you can take time out at any point, go outside, for a walk, I will look after you and do my very best to make you feel looked after and safe.
Be sure I know exactly how it feels!

Yes, it is a residential road without parking restrictions, but there is however an LTN in operation at the FOX LANE end of my road which means if you enter by car from that end you will be fined, approach the street from CANNON HILL end.
Parking should be quite easy.

There will be tea, coffee & soft drinks free all day, also biccies and crisps, and other nibbles, but bring a packed lunch if you think you will be hungry. There is a corner shop 2 minutes walk away so you could pop by and pick up something.

Yup. The studio is in the garden so you can go outside and puff away in my garden, obviously if the weather is harsh you'll need your coat!

If you are someone who cannot stand for long periods of time, you may prefer the foiling method as there is more sitting down time, but if you want to do a lead class, you don't have to worry you can take time out and sit for some of the process, I promise to keep you feeling comfortable!

Yes you will! These courses are quite intense but you will go home with your beautiful new creation that day..

Absolutely! These courses are great for people who have never tried this before but also great for someone who has had a little experience and wants to brush up on their skills.
