Christine M reviewed: Explore your creativity in enamels- An introductory Morning of Enamelling for One ,Two or, Three People

"I spent a wonderful morning with Christine learning about every part of enamelling. Her patience was appreciated and her enthusiasm for the art was infectious. I really lost time when there! I was fully immersed in creating two lovely items that I will cherish and enjoy. I am looking forward to another workshop to build on what I learned. "

Original Kiln-fired Enamelled Jewellery responded:

"Thanks for the great review, Christine. It was lovely to see how absorbed you were by enamelling. You took to the craft very naturally. I’m really pleased that I could help you turn your ideas into the enamelled pieces you were so happy with & of course take them home to (as you put it so well) “cherish and enjoy”. I look forward to another creative session in the future."

Karen reviewed: Silversmithing workshop

"I booked this for my friends birthday present. It was really interesting, memorable and very enjoyable, then we came away with a special piece of jewellery hand made by us. Thank you"

Mya Designs responded:

"I'm so glad you enjoyed the experience and you clearly had ideas for your designs, So glad you did the practice run with the thicker copper wire as it made working with silver easier. Sandra,. that was a great job you did with twisting the wire and using the rolling mill to get a domed effect on your hoop earrings. Great opportunity to reshape your wedding ring too! For first timers you guys smashed it! Thanks for a great review too! x"

Sharon Thomas reviewed: Complete Smartphone Photography Workshop

"I loved this workshop. Matt is a brilliant, inspiring and patient teacher. I’m one of those who gets frustrated that struggled to take the pictures I can see in my mind. Matt talked us through some key tools and approaches to help and when putting these into practice, he provided guidance, pointers and encouragement. Over the course of just one morning, I was able to see definite improvements in how I take photographs which made me very happy. The afternoon was my first attempt at editing photographs and it was so much fun! Matt explained the various options to give us some confidence and then encouraged us to play, offering opinions when useful. The range of pictures we created as a group was lovely to see. Matt answered lots of questions from us all and clearly knows his subject and really loves to share it with others. I came away with a lot of ideas and renewed energy around taking photographs and knowing how to practise the tools to create some really interesting images – lots of playtime ahead! Thanks Matt – I will definitely be back for more."

The World Of Matt Parker responded:

"Thank you, Sharon! It was great seeing how your vision developed over the day and the excellent images you created."

Melissa Hookway reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"A most excellent way to spend a weekend. The rural location is delightful, and Sebastian’s beautiful sculptures are within the grounds for inspiration and admiration. I had a most wonderful time being creative, working on a lovely block of Bath stone. With the encouragement and advice of Sebastian I gained more confidence as the weekend progressed. Naturally stone carving is a messy business, so my best gardening clothes were the order of the day! With regard to thoughts about what shape to try and create, I found it very helpful to make a very rough mock up of the shape in papier mache at home beforehand, as I aimed to create a Three D piece. (While there is the option of making a clay model of your shape on the first day of the course to help when it comes to working on the stone itself, I thought I would gain more time if I arrived with the papier mache alternative at the start) Highly recommended! "

"I recently took part in this creative therapeutic art course. Louise and Jenna were brilliant facilitators, offering a safe, non-judgmental, and open space for attendees to stretch their creativity, and delve deeper into their art work. I came away each week feeling a little lighter having enjoyed spending some time doing art (with a whole host of materials and supplies!) as well as learning more about myself in the process. Would highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested! Thank you Louise and Jenna :)"

"Really enjoyed my day of Lino cutting. I found the modern alternative to the craft set that I battled with as a child so much easier to work with! Judith had a great range of resources and materials to inspire us and we were able to play with plenty of colour options with our completed design. The venue was ideal with a shop and cafe into the bargain. "

Shani Sedgwick reviewed: Spoon Carving with Touchwood Glasgow

"I’ve just attended a spoon carving workshop run by Robert Andrew and it was a thoroughly enjoyable day and one that I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about this craft. We were a small group, all working on different styles of spoons and yet Robert was able to give each of us the one to one help we needed, all in a relaxed, friendly and safety conscious way. His respect for the integrity of his medium, trees and their wood was at the heart of his practice and that shone through the day. Thank you for a great day! "
