"Our children bought us both a day’s hare making course as an anniversary present. I thought that maybe Jo had met her match as neither of us have ever done any sculpting before, and I am particularly bad at anything ‘arty.’ Jo has a very calm and can do attitude. She showed us step by step what to do, then left us to do our own thing, but had the wonderful knack of being ready to make suggestions, or get you out of a muddle without taking over. We both were very pleased with our creations! Thank you for a lovely day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the course, or Jo as a teacher. "

"What an excellent day - despite the bitterly cold weather. Tutor Ian was well prepared and had everything ready to go. We started by making our own mallet before moving on to making, from elm and ash, our own bespoke three-legged wood stool. It was an engaging job that needed our full attention. Ian was always on hand to help with any "difficult" bits. The day was broken up by some lovely stories from Ian about working with forest woods. The day was physical. And, at the end we came home with a lovely handmade stool which would cost a pretty penny at a craft fair. All-in-all - a great day. But wrap up warm. "

"The beginners' candle making workshop was a wonderful way to spend our morning. Anne is a great teacher, explains every stage very clearly and shares her experience and knowledge in a really engaging way. There were just the right number of people on the course, we all got individual help when needed and there was a beautifully organised "work station" for each person. We made 4 different types of candle to bring home and they are all lovely. Will definitely be coming to another course to learn more."

"A really enjoyable half day with Simon. In three hours we went from the basics of the equipment and qualities of the book, to trying out the lathe and making my first piece, a lovely wine stopper. Simon was an excellent teacher, giving me a chance to try things out and helping me when necessary. Highly recommended."

Ian and Jade were fantastic and so welcoming and I felt really at ease. The course was fantastic. Ian was really patient and took the time to explain the process and share his craftsmanshop. "I had a wonderful day making my hare. I had never done any sculpting before but with Jo's excellent tuition I came home with a beautiful hare. It's a fabulous studio and the whole day was very friendly and relaxed and also, the kettle was always on! I would highly recommend this craft workshop."

"I thoroughly enjoyed making a birdfeeder with Myles! From the moment I walked into the workshop, he made me feel welcome, relaxed and confident that I would produce something wonderful. His tuition was careful, patient, and always exactly what I needed at every point in the process, only going 'hands on' where he could see I needed a little assistance. Everything we needed was provided and every step well-explained. I was thrilled with the end result and it will take pride of place in my garden. "

"Geri was very accomodating, naturally enthusiastic about her subject and adapted to everyone's needs in our family. We booked a session with very little notice and managed to get simple but classic dishes made in the limited window we had available in Devizes. The studio was well equipped and had examples for inspiration. I look forward to booking another session with Geri in the future. My daughter left her watch and Geri kindly ensured she would send this back with our pottery as a kind gesture. thank you"

"My children absolutely love these Half Term Kids Craft classes. Its an opportunity for them to be imaginative & creative away from a screen where they can use a vast range of crafting materials and make a mess without me having to buy all the crafting stuff and tidy up afterwards. The items they make are also useful and practcle so I never mind or worry about them bring their craft projects home. The classes are fun, engaging and educational and are the highlight of their Half Term holidays."
