Dirkk reviewed: Spoon Carving - Slojd Workshop

"A Heartfelt Review of Max’s Spoon-Making Workshop I had the pleasure of attending Max’s spoon-making workshop, and it was a fulfilling experience from start to finish. Max has a remarkable ability to create a welcoming, supportive, and engaging environment, where safety, learning, and creativity flow effortlessly. His approach fosters not only skill development but also a deep sense of presence and connection with the craft. With his expert guidance and patient teaching, I found myself fully immersed in the therapeutic process of carving—discovering a unique spoon hidden within a simple firewood blank. Max is not only a gifted craftsman but also an exceptional teacher, making the experience both enriching and inspiring. Most profoundly, this workshop kindled my personal connection to spoon-making, an art my body seemed to remember instinctively. It was deeply satisfying to connect with this craft, and I left feeling both accomplished and refreshed. Thank you, Max, for sharing your knowledge and passion so generously. This workshop was a truly special experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn a new skill or rediscover the joy of working with their hands. "

Catherine R reviewed: Needle felted Dogs & Cats in (Halifax)

"We had a brilliant day on the course and we were all really pleased with our finished cats! Jo taught five absolute beginners how to create dogs and cats with kindness and patience, plenty of brews and biscuits, and was just the right mix of knowing when we needed help and letting us get on with things when 'in the zone'! I really enjoyed the day, my mum and 9 year old did too and I thoroughly recommend!"

Phinefibre responded:

"Thank you for joining the workshop and writing a lovely review. Delighted you all had a brilliant day. It was wonderful to see three generations of your family all together on the workshop. Your nine year old daughter made an adorable cute cat, and coped very well with such a long day."

Alasdair McLaren reviewed: Spoon Carving with Touchwood Glasgow

"This is the second time I have done the spoon carving course with Robert and I will probably do it for a third time. I will admit I got more out of the course this time around as I was slightly more confident in the process and steps having done it before so that made the day all the more enjoyable, but please don't think you need any experience. You don't. Robert proceeds at the pace suited to you. There were people of all skill levels on the course and everyone left with a expertly carved spoon. Great fun and well worth it."

Bridie Davies reviewed: One-to-one: Dressmaking and sewing class

"Silvia was great, super responsive to my many messages beforehand and even though it was a while since I originally reached out to her she remembered the plan for my dress. She gave me some really helpful tips and helped me to see how to get my dress to where it needed to be even though we had a lot to cover in the time. I'll certainly be back when I've had change to work through the adjustments Silvia made! "

Sam reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"What a wonderful experience from start to finish! Great communication from Jo before the course. The day was simply amazing! Relaxed, a perfect pace, and extremely well explained in bite-sized chunks. It was so well organised. And incredible fun. The best bit was coming away with a hare which looked like a hare, and which I will be proud to put on show! Jo was also very generous with teas & coffees, and happy for us to stretch and wander around her beautiful garden when we felt the need. I would highly recommend the course. All credit to Jo for the thought that has gone into its delivery, and a big THANK YOU making it a day to remember. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you very much Sam - it's my absolute pleasure being able to facilitate the day. I'm a bit of a 'nerd' when it comes to preparation and it always pays off 😂. Delighted that you love your hare, Jo x"

Christine Alger reviewed: Sculpture workshop two days with Jo Garden Art in beautiful rural Norfolk/Suffolk border setting

"I can honestly say I was completely blown away by this workshop. To begin with an armature and build your chosen subject, to see it take shape and come to life, to take home the most amazing sculpture... it just doesn't get better than this! Jo is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, funny and takes you through this fabulous journey, set in gorgeous surroundings. I can't end this review without a nod to the equally knowledgeable and helpful Andy, without his armatures wouldn't be possible. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much Chris - your large cat with aluminium whiskers was fabulous and will look amazing in your garden. Thank you for mentioning Andy - he is the backbone of this workshop with his wonderful armature welding. See you back in the studio later this year! Jo x"
