Debbie N reviewed: Antiquarian bookbinding repair day

"A great day spent with an expert bookbinder! I'm new to bookbinding and was full of questions and project ideas. Stephen very patiently answered all my queries, gave me some fantastic tips and advice on setting up a studio, on papers, leather bindings, book repairs, plus a few tips and tricks of the trade. We crammed an awful lot into the day and I came home with a few things to work on for our next session. I can highly recommend!"

Rachel Harrower reviewed: One day fused glass course at North Norfolk Stained Glass

"This was my 2nd time visiting Paul's workshop having previously done the 2 day stained glass course. This time I treated myself to the fused glass day for my birthday. It was a fab day shared with another 3 ladies. Paul is a great tutor as he is very thorough with his teaching and very patient with his students. I loved the day. Very relaxed, lots of tea and I now have a lovely piece of original artwork hanging in my home which reminds me of a beautiful Scottish beach which is significant to our family. Thanks again Paul for another great day. Rachel"

"I attended the one-day introduction course which my husband had bought me for my birthday. I had an excellent day learning how to cut the glass, lead and then solder. Jamal is an excellent tutor, very helpful and friendly. We all came back with the panel we had made which now has pride of place in my house. I can’t believe I have made it, but I had a great tutor. I can thoroughly recommend this course. Many thanks Jamal. "

Vanessa Soito-Gambrell reviewed: Stained Glass using the Copper Foil Technique

"I had the absolute best time learning from Elaine. From the moment you enter her beautiful garden you know that this is going to be a wonderful experience. Her studio was the perfect size for the 2 of us and she did an excellent job of slowly explaining what exactly to do, especially because we have never done this before. She was very patient and answered all our questions to the fullest. It was a day to remember and I am so thankful for the time spent at her beautiful studio. Thank you! "

Stained Glass by Elaine Alexandra responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review. I am so pleased that you had an enjoyable day. I hope your poppy suncatcher will be a reminder of your time spent in England. With Best Wishes Elaine "

Shona Robertson reviewed: Weaving: the journey begins

"I had a brilliant day with Ashleigh. On arrival I explained that I was hard of hearing and I found Ashleigh immediately took care to ensure that I didn't struggle with this throughout the day which put me at complete ease. The pace of teaching was good and the explanations were clear and concise. It was really helpful to see some woven cloth on the practice loom to get a better idea of the patterns. A very welcoming studio with excellent facilities. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and back home now to finish setting up my own new loom to continue on my weaving journey"

Kyara reviewed: Intro to Wet Felting

"I was a first time wet felter, and this workshop was so fun and informative! I needle felt, so was familiar with the fibres etc, but if you have no experience with felting in any form, don’t worry! Penny was very knowledgeable about the techniques and history of felting and had a supportive teaching manner. She was as quick to catch and correct mistakes as eager to allow you to be independent and make sure you understood the concepts to work confidently. Materials provided were lovely, with plenty available. The facility was gorgeous with a relaxing atmosphere. While I feel I gained knowledge of the foundational tools and techniques enough to take this craft home and begin practicing it myself, I will still definitely be booking another workshop in the future as it was such an enjoyable day! Plus, you come home with beautiful items!"

"Boy am I glad I took this course. I'm busy setting up my own personal workshop with a table saw and router. So I thought I had better take an actual lesson rather than follow videos. If I hadn't done so I would have completely messed up my first project which was building my work table lol."
