Andy T reviewed: 'Make a silver ring' jewellery taster workshop - Somerset

"This was seriously one of the best things I’ve done this year. The evening was lovely being relaxed and informal but highly instructional and informative. The host is perfect in every aspect. Welcoming, warm, helpful, friendly and funny. It really did make for a lovely occasion on multiple levels. I would do this again with others or just with the random other people who attended who were all the loveliest of people to share that time with. 100/100 no doubt and I feel inspired to do more and left with something to treasure; both the ring and the memories."

Roderick Vere responded:

"Such kind words Andy! Real pleasure having you in to make a ring - was a really good group! Wishing you all the very best and do get in touch if you're ever keen to rustle up something else."

"Had a great day in the studio with Fiona. She was really welcoming and the studio was very comfortable and well equipped. Neither of us had done any mosaic before, yet produced lovely pieces of work. She was always there ready to help but also encouraged independent working and choices. We really had fun and I would highly recommend doing this day . "

"The watercolour class was great fun. The setting in Galleria was perfect. Our teacher (Stephanie), taught us really good techniques in application of watercolour washes followed by learning how to paint a variety of grasses. The 3 hours flew by and the tea and coffee supplied was a welcome bonus. Thank you"

Rosie Timperley reviewed: Beginners Silver Jewellery Course

"What a wonderful, memorable and very special day for both my sister and myself! I'd purchased a surprise jewellery making day for her to celebrate a special birthday and thought it would be great to do together and to each have something to take away and wear! The great reviews I'd read were certainly testimonies to Mark's skills, great teaching, encouragement, support to each individual to make whatever they chose. Each of us worked on a ring in the morning - learning all the basic skills that we could then use in our further choices in the afternoon. Fascinating seeing how much went into each part of the make! The afternoon gave us the opportunity to choose what we might like to do next, using the skills and knowledge from the morning and more besides. We both chose to do a bangle and had fun creating the design to imprint through the roller - similar but not the same and personalised with an additional stamped dandelion by my sister - a favourite for her - unknown to me and a special link to the name for Terri and Mark! Mark's workshop was a wonderful toolbox for all we needed - well kitted out and a work-station for each of the 3 of us there to enjoy our day of creativity. Nothing was too much trouble for Mark, he encouraged each of us throughout, Terri bringing drinks when needed. I can't recommend the course run by Mark and Terri of Dandelion and Silver enough - welcomed, taught many new skills with encouragement and patience, and came away with something we will each wear with pleasure and remember our special 'time out' and celebration together. Thank you - know I would love to return and have already had friends asking about where we went! Many thanks indeed!"

Dandelion Silver responded:

"Thank you so much Rosie for your kind comments. It really means the world to me when students enjoy their day with us. I had a great day with the three of you and I’m so pleased you went home with some fabulous pieces of jewellery. Hope to see you again some time soon. Mark"

Jen Hennessy reviewed: Furniture Painting Workshop (Levels 1&2 techniques covered) in Cheadle Gr Manchester

"I absolutely loved this day and was actually disappointed when it finished for the day. Jo manages to cover a huge span of techniques without the learning process seeming rushed and provides notes to take home which helps cement them. She creates a relaxed but fun vibe to the class and you will take home a piece of furniture that you can love and be proud of. I highly recommend trying it if you have even a smattering of interest in furniture painting or upcycling. "

The Boho Shed responded:

"Wow Jen, what a lovely review. Thank you so much for your lovely comments on the workshop. It was great to meet you and I loved your enthusiasm for painting and everything creative. I look forward to hearing about and seeing all your future endeavours. "

Patrick P reviewed: Mig Welding For Beginners Introductory Day Course.

"I had a welding course with Tony today and couldn’t have asked for more, he covered the essentials then quickly got me started on my first MIG welds. The pace of the session was perfect and allowed me to progress at a decent rate. I was also given a lot of practical advice on which equipment to look for as I’ll be buying my own welding kit very soon. Marta reviewed: Spoon Carving at Wilderness Foundation UK

"I booked this workshop as a surprise date for my partner and we had such a great time! Max is amazing at explaining anything wood-related and his friendly attitude and passion for wood carving made the whole workshop truly enjoyable. Starting from a block of wood, in 5/6 hours we managed to create beautiful spoons of different shapes! We loved having the opportunities to learn how to use all the tools for wood carving, from the axe to the hook knife. I recommended this workshop already to many of my friends and I’m considering getting the tools to start wood carving in my spare time! Thanks again Max, hopefully see you soon for another workshop! 😊"

"I booked this course for my son’s birthday as he wanted to learn how to make silver jewellery and I thought I would have a go too! The course was fantastic and was everything we were hoping. Roderick was very welcoming and explained the process very well. There were 4 of us in the class and we felt that Roderick was able to give us all his attention and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. Everything was included and we came away very happy with our new rings that were unique to us and excited that we were able to make a ring from scratch as beginners. Would definitely recommend this interesting and fun course, Thank you Roderick!"
