"Absolutely fantastic day, with an experienced tutor who explained everything clearly. Loved the fact that if you made a mistake she would find the spot and guide you through correcting rather than doing it for you.....fantastic learning procedure. All materials prepared so we could progress with no holdups. Wish she would do a next steps lesson... I'd be first in line"

Nicki Hamilton reviewed: Sculpture workshop two days with Jo Garden Art in beautiful rural Norfolk/Suffolk border setting

"Never in a million years did I think I could achieve a sculpture of a large owl that I could be proud of, but at the end of a fabulous two day course I have! With Jo’s help and guidance I have created a beautiful owl. I am thrilled with it. Working in a beautiful studio in a stunning garden deep in rural Norfolk was idyllic. Alex S reviewed: Introduction to Natural Inks and Paints

"In recent years I've become increasingly aware of the chemicals in my conventional paints, and have been curious about learning how to make my own natural inks and paints. This workshop covered everything I wanted to learn and much more, from the equipment needed and sourcing the plants and minerals, through to the various different processes for creating inks, water colour and oil paints. I have to say that making oil paints from pigments was my favourite process, deeply satisfying! I'm amazed at the vibrancy and range of colours we produced in one day and would highly recommend this workshop to anyone with an interest in painting, colour or natural art materials. It is clear that Claudia has a background in teaching, the day was meticulously planned yet relaxed and friendly and we had a very useful handout of information to take home with us, along with all our colour experiments. I can't wait to start foraging for colour and can feel my artwork heading in a new direction. Thank you Claudia for a wonderful day!"

Elka responded:

"Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely, detailed review Alex, it is hugely appreciated. I'm delighted that you got so much out of the workshop, it was a pleasure to meet you, and to see you paining with the natural colours. I'm looking forward to seeing your new work! Very best wishes, Claudia."

"I've just had a thoroughly relaxing two days with Annie and her alpacas. It was a real joy to understand the process of weaving a scarf and listening to Annie about the alpacas, how their fleece is treated to turn it into yearn and dyed using plants from Annie's garden. The yurt was warm and cosy and the company great. I would highly recommend this course. :-) "

"I had an amazing time today at Katherine’s workshop making a beautiful stained glass panel. Katherine really went the extra mile; she had prepared a custom design for me to follow after chatting via email and had even found out some antique glass I could incorporate. Everything was easy to follow and all tools and materials were provided. Lunch and refreshments were delicious and very relaxed. At the end of the day I came away with a lovely panel that I’m very pleased with. I may book again just for a nice day out! Thanks very much, Katherine 😊 "
