"Had a superb lesson with Richard and came away with a ring that looks like it's been made by a professional! I am total beginner and Richard explained everything about the process very well and was happy to answer any questions I had. He has a wealth of knowledge on anything to do with metal working! His workshop is spacious, well-organised and a quiet space to learn. I would highly recommend taking this course with Richard. "

Jackie Benson reviewed: Two day dry stone walling course for beginners in association with Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain

"I went of the course held at Werneth Low last weekend 13/14 July. I had a fantastic weekend and was given expert guidance from the Lancashire Group (Paul, Bev & Lee) who made the whole experience fun and passed on their considerable knowledge. We were given expert tuition on how to sort, lay down, select & place the stones. Our small group took down a section of walling and rebuilt it over the two days and what a sense of achievement we all felt when stood back and admired our completed work. The course also covered health & safety(how to lift & to keep ourselves and others safe) and the different type of tools you can use. Paul, Bev & Lee, thank you so much for making the weekend so enjoyable & Jane & Craig for making me feel part of an impressive team. I will be joining DSWA, what a supportive group of people."

Janette W reviewed: Copper Foil Technique Stained Glass

"I would recommend this craft opportunity to all! This was a gift from my family for a significant birthday so I chose something different to my usual hobby making and so was a complete novice. Amanda was very patient, explains and demonstrates each step in detail and offers the time for you to practice. She was great at working at my pace and allowing me the time to work and supporting me to feel confident in making the pieces at each stage. We chose the glass that would work with the pattern and practiced cutting. It is in a relaxed atmosphere and space and she does a lovely bacon baguette. She also has some lovely pieces on display that I’m going to seek out on the website."

Dragonfly Glass Art responded:

"Janette, Thanks for taking the time to write a review, much appreciated! I'm so glad that you had a good day and learnt a lot too. Your finished pieces looked great, hopefully now they are in pride of place at home!! Best wishes, Amanda 🙂 "
