Ruth reviewed: DIY Leather Bag Kit - Cross Body Satchel to make at home

"I absolutely loved making this satchel bag! From start to finish everything was fabulous. The way Georgie packs the kits up is gorgeous, so it would make a beautiful gift for a crafty friend. The materials are very high quality, as are the instructions. You get both written instructions and a video, and the thing I found best of all is that Georgie is super helpful if you have questions during the process. Highly recommended from me!"

Nicky reviewed: Seaglass jewellery workshop at Sea & Solder, Dorset.

"I had such a great day! I have no previous experience and do not consider myself particularly creative so was a bit unsure what to expect. Jules creates a relaxed environment where with her tuition, anything is possible! I really enjoyed learning how to make my cuff and am extremely proud that I made something so lovely. I am trying very hard to find another beautiful piece of sea glass so I have an excuse to come back and try creating something else."

Sea & Solder responded:

"Nicky your cuff was fantastic, well done and thank you for a lovely review. Best of luck with your future seaglass hunting."

Carolyn reviewed: Block printing on Fabric

"Alison was the perfect host including the delicious home baked brownies! As a complete novice, Alison took great care to explain the processes and allowed me all the time I needed to practice before progressing to the next stage. Alison helped with design ideas and refinements and I was delighted with all my take home pieces. The venue is quiet and peaceful and the craft room exceptionally well equipped and comfortable. Plenty of parking and all the facilities you need for a brilliant creative experience. I’ve been totally inspired and have acquired all the equipment needed to carry on my newly acquired skills at home. A fantastic day and highly recommended."

Frankie reviewed: Seaglass jewellery workshop at Sea & Solder, Dorset.

"My partner bought me this experience for Christmas and I didn’t know how much I wanted to do it until I experienced it! Juels was lovely, very warming and easy going. I had never worked with silver before so I was slightly nervous but a relaxed environment, good coffee and an excellent teacher resulted in my first of many silver pieces. I had no idea what would come of the day and didn’t believe I could make a piece of wearable jewellery, but I now get endless comments on my bangle and it never comes off. Lots of laughter, a strong supply of oat milk and knowledge to last a lifetime, plus my beautiful handmade seaglass bangle. A huge thank you for sharing your skills ?"

Sea & Solder responded:

"Frankie it's great to hear your bangle hasn't come off and you have had lots of lovely comments. Well done on creating this lovely piece of jewellery. It was lovely to meet you and see you create such a unique piece on the day."

Sarah reviewed: Parent and child friendly pottery courses

"We would like to thank Richard for a thoroughly wonderful time. My daughter and I attended for a 3 hour workshop on throwing. Richard has a vast experience in pottery and ceramics and was able to teach us both (no easy task!) how to use the wheel to throw and make a pot! Richard is a skilled teacher and made you feel incredibly comfortable. My daughter and I were successfully able to make several pots a thing I though would not be possible! Richard also taught us other techniques for pot making during the session and we also had a chance to make a coil pot. We would highly recommend Richard and will definitely be booking again to develop our skills further. Thank you again for a lovely time."

Potterydayz responded:

"It was a pleasure to see you here at Potterydayz. thank you for taking the time to put up such a lovely review. See you all in the future for gazing the pieces."

Kitty reviewed: Seaglass jewellery workshop at Sea & Solder, Dorset.

"I had such a lovely time with Jules! She was a great teacher and super patient and knowledgeable with all the questions. I am so obsessed with my sea glass ring, I didn’t bring my own piece of sea glass and Jules had tons for me to choose from. I receive compliments on my ring all the time and it’s so cool to be able to say I made it. I did another session to make some stacking rings that complete my sea glass ring. I’ll definitely be back for more, hoping to do one of the 10 week courses in the future."

"I came with my best friend for a 40th bday gift -it was such a wonderful relaxing way to spend a few hours. Melanie was superb, very friendly and helpful and explained the procedure very well. She also kept the hot drinks and cake/snacks coming throughout the session. We were absolute beginners to working with glass and we did fine. The workshop is bright and well ventilated and there was plenty of space and resources available. We never felt rushed and we felt so relaxed after the session. I can't wait to see our finished lanterns. I would highly recommend Melanie's courses and we hope to come to another workshop soon. thanks Melanie :)"

Roxana Stephenson reviewed: Sword Making Workshop in Grassington for 2 People

"I cannot say enough how much we loved this. I bought this as a surprise 50th birthday gift for my partner - it was the 2 day sword making course. Neither of us have an any experience at all but with Richard guiding the way, we literally made a sword. Ourselves. A sword. Like Conan the Barbarian. Richard was a wonderful teacher - nothing was awkward, or scary and it really was a lovely thing to do as a couple. We will most likely book something else to do in the future because it was worth every single penny and we loved Richard. All our friends were asking for info so if our friends aren't keeping him busy, please make sure you book!! Thank you so much xx"
