Andrew Cole reviewed: Beginners bowl carving

"As a complete novice I was a little nervous as to how quick I’d be able to actually make something, but I needn’t have been. Nick very quickly got me into it, his knowledge and ability to teach is second to none, and it’s clearly something he is passionate about. The feeling when you’ve produced something is fantastic. The setting of the course is beautiful and the hospitality from Nick and Debbie is wonderful, with the constant flow of coffee and of course the home made scones. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from things and immerse in something completely new. ?"

Gosman Spoon Co. responded:

"Thank you Andrew for your lovely comments and review, it’s much appreciated. If you have any questions about tools or need advice, etc, please don’t hesitate to ask :)"

Paul Thomas reviewed: Premium experience package dry stone walling for beginners

"Well worth travelling up from Bucks. A very well organised and presented course with Carl getting across a lot of information into the walling art in a manor which is easy going and friendly. Hats off to his ability to remember all the names in our group of eleven. Thoroughly enjoyable with great views, great weather and great people. Completed the repaired section of wall in easy stages over the two days and even managed to build in a stone to “hang your hat” ( group joke) 10/10 for the on course catering, beer at local pub and in my case a recommendation to get an evening meal at “The Navigation” where the Sunday roast even beat my appetite."

Oonagh reviewed: Recycle that saucer - making mosaics with china

"I've done some small mosaics before but I want to do some with china and thanks to Anne's clear instruction I don't feel so daunted by the cutting process. Great information on tools and materials and the prep needed before you start. Looking forward to taking more of Anne's classes - thank you."

Making Mosaics responded:

"Thank you I'm so glad you enjoyed and thank you for taking the time to write a review - it's so nice when people take the time. I love making mosaics with china and contrary to expectation they do often survive for a long time outside, even though I have to advise that they can degrade in very cold weather, they are usually quite robust. Happy making and I"d love to see what you make."

Sharon Dibsdall reviewed: Willow Border Edging Hurdles for beginners at Higher Barn

"This was a full day course, which I thoroughly enjoyed, as a complete novice. Richard was an enthusiastic tutor, happy to answer all questions and share his knowledge. He had infinite patience and made sure that you had whatever support you required to progress throughout the day. Everything was provided and the venue is delightful. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to dip a first tentative toe into the world of willow and it was very rewarding to go home with the fruits of your labour."

Steff reviewed: Introduction to Lino Printing in Cambridgeshire

"What lovely day spent learning to lino print. Myself and my friend both attended the course having no prior experience. We both produced some wonderful prints, under the guidance of Judith. She was amazing, very informative and a great teacher and made us feel very welcome. By the end we both felt very confident and are both going to continue to print in our spare time. We are also going to book on the next course when it becomes available. Thank you so much!"

Jane Watkins reviewed: Make your own Sneakers

"I was lucky to be given a gift voucher so used it on the sneaker workshop day. I made a high rise pair of sneakers. They are so comfy, also greatly admired when I'm out. The most difficult part of the course was choosing the colours, so many to choose from. I opted for black and white hide with red uppers and mustard tabs. Such fun. Want to go again again to make another pair."

Barbara Payne reviewed: One day introduction to resin art

"I have done 2 courses with Eunice. The Cheese board beginners class and the full day picture resin course. Both brilliant. Eunice explains it all really well and because of the small classes, Eunice is on hand to ensure that you don't forget any of the stages. She gives you the confidence to just do it and the pieces I have produced are amazing. I also feel I know enough, to have a go on my own. Thanks Eunice. Barbara"

Eunice J. Friend responded:

"You are so welcone Barbara. Have fun with you new skills Warmest regards Eunice "

Cathy Turbinskyj reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"My first ever introduction to any sort of carving, and I've learned so much in those 2 days with Sebastian! He stuck the right balance between being available for instruction/guidance, and letting me get on with it, to play, experiment and follow my nose in acquainting myself with the stone and the tools. The setting of the course too was really inspirational - a good place to be! Nice ginger biccies too! Thank you Sebastian, xxx"

Nicky reviewed: Turning Up the Heat - 2-day Glass Fusing Course for Intermediates with Vitreus Art

"Jenny and Mike were both very welcoming and patient when I was struggling with a technique or understanding information they were imparting. The two days gave time to try new techniques and I learnt a lot from this course. I would happily book another course with them in the future. This two day course was bought as an early 60th birthday present from my husband and what a fabulous present it was. Thank you Jenny and Mike for an interesting and enjoyable two days."

Vitreus Art responded:

"Thanks for your review Nicky - it was a pleasure working with you and hope to see you at the studio again sometime. M&J"

Maria reviewed: Creative Art as Therapy

"I loved the freeing, creative style of this workshop with Tajinder - certainly not 'paint by numbers'! I felt very pushed out of my comfort zone which was really good for me as I tend to always stick with the same styles and media with my painting, and Tajinder was encouraging and supportive. The meditation, sharing, and getting to meet some other fellow art fans made for a lovely atmosphere. I was reminded why I love art so much and left feeling very inspired. The cosy farmhouse location was great too. I'd 100% recommend this workshop even if you're not a confident artist, it'll really get your creative juices flowing!"

MindFlow Art responded:

"Thank you Maria for spending the day at MindFlow - Creative Art as Therapy workshop. It was wonderful to share my knowledge to enable you to make art creatively. As promised, I have forwarded the links to further your knowledge away from the workshop. You made some incredible art. I am so pleased that whilst you were out of comfort zone, it helped to free your creativity. Wishing you all the best, continue creating master-pieces. Thank you for the great review and bringing your beautiful energy to share with us . Best wishes Tajinder "

Gill Rice reviewed: Textile landscape workshop in Dorset

"Had a lovely day. Very welcoming, lots of help, advice, and equipment readily available. Have often admired this form of art work but had no idea how to achieve it. I was able to create a picture which I can take home to complete and be proud of. The venue is lovely and adds to the enjoyment of the experience. Thank you Imogen for renewing my enthusiasm to do creative art."

Imogen Bittner Studio responded:

"I was so impressed by your enthusiasm and the way you adopted this new technique to create such an interesting and textural landscape. You worked hard to build up the various elements of your image which developed so successfully over the course of the day and I feel you now have mastered another way of expressing your creativity."

Pat reviewed: Kate Morrell willow sculpture courses

"We had a great day with Kate. I made a Heron, my daughter made a Pheasant. We were both beginners and even though we were in a group of 8, Kate gave us lots of help and advice and generally encouraged us to make amazing willow sculptures. We enjoyed sandwiches, pizza and cakes for lunch, and plenty of tea and coffee throughout the day. We would definitely recommend the course. Leave plenty of room in your car, my Heron is taller than me!"

Hannah Shepherd reviewed: Training course in upcycling with pallets for beginners in Somerset: two days

"I had the most amazing 2 days with Scott and his wife Sue! I have learnt so much, not just learning to deconstruct pallets and create and upcycle but they are both so giving in their wealth of wisdom, humour, creative skill and a 'can do' attitude. I have come away being inspired, full of creative energy and looking to book my next course with them. Worth every single penny and more. Quite frankly the best craft course I have ever done!"

Dry Stone Walling Association North Wales Branch responded:
