Andrew reviewed: Learn drawing skills - Passion for graphite!

"Really enjoyed this course! It was the first time I have drawn anything since school (a long time ago). In a short space of time through chatting Hazel identified my interests and areas to practice and we got going with the drawing. Memories came flooding back and I rekindled some of those lost skills. During the three hours I learnt some really useful techniques and tips which will certainly help me improve my drawing. Hazel made me feel very welcome, was a lot of fun and importantly provided tea and biscuits throughout 😁 Thank you very much"

Field Breaks Art responded:

"Hello Andrew, I'm so glad you enjoyed the workshop, thank you for your feedback, it is always very helpful! I hope you continue to keep those pencils swishing whenever you can! Best wishes Hazel"

Marilyn Stenhouse reviewed: Box making weekend in Cumbria

"Thoroughly recommend the weekend box making course with Mark amidst lovely countryside. It was good fun, exciting and very worthwhile weekend culminating with my ‘professional looking’ box made of walnut with brass hinges and…… I am very much a beginner! From the wide choice of woods to the final details of design Mark was incredibly patient and supportive. With his sense of humour and no nonsense practical approach to wood making he is an inspired and superb teacher. I have already added my name to another course! Thank you again Mark. "

Bob Hunt reviewed: Blacksmithing, bladesmithing and metal craft

"Great hands on experience. Well equipped workshop with heavyweight equipment. Nigel is extremely knowledgeable and has a very wide experience of forging on some impressive projects. We came away with our own forgings which demonstrate our achievements and will have use. It was an icy cold, January morning so needed some warm overalls even with all of the forges running. Great to see demonstrations of the big hammers and press. Great day. Thanks Nigel. "

Vivien Turner reviewed: Slate mosaic workshop at Jo Garden Art

"The slate mosaic workshop is inspirational. Right from the beginning Jo made us very welcome, explained the process, gave a clear demonstration and explained where the beautiful slates had come from. Wonderful coloured glass is also there to tempt. The mosaics develop as you build them up in a delightful organic way and all of us had two amazing pieces of art to take home."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much for this lovely review Vivien 🤗. Such a fabulous workshop to run and its wonderful how different everyone's work turned out! Your river flow was gorgeous which ever way up you decide to display it. I know you enjoyed it so much, you now wish to make a larger piece of work. As you have been to one and understand the process, you are welcome to return to another and make a large piece rather than the small ones. I look forward to seeing you again, Jo xx"

David Flower reviewed: Creative Vibe - Glassblowing Sessions

"i really enjoyed my afternoon with Ricky. He threw me straight into making the first glass object , clearly explaining everything as we went along. By the end I'd made a solid glass ball, and 3 blown hollow objects. I'd learned some of the basic magical techniques of how you get the colours to swirl inside the glass, how to squeeze and pull out the glass to make a stem, and much more. As I thought, glass is amazing stuff, and it was great fun."

Creative Vibe Glassblowing responded:

"Hi David, good to here you enjoyed your step into glassblowing I will get these cold worked for ,and then send you over some images.Thank you very much for the review you left it is greatly apreciated. Regards Ricky"
