Rain reviewed: Giacometti style bronzed animal sculpture one day workshop Suffolk one-to-one or max 4 students

"This course was great day out and I’d highly recommend it for anyone wanting to learn a new art skill. The teaching was pitched just right so I left with a piece that was all my own creation. The pace was just right, and cups of tea and chatter available all day. This day was definitely worth the time and money. "

Art on the Edge responded:

Galia Pike reviewed: Modern upholstered footstool workshop - no experience required - the perfect gift!

"An absolutely perfect day, from the teacher and the delicious local food to the end result - the foot stool itself which I am SO PROUD of! We didn’t just learn how to make a footstool, we learnt so much about upholstery and furniture in general. I loved that everything was so carefully sourced - beautiful birch ply, coconut and rubber matting, rich coloured recycled wools and genuinely lovely, warm, patient and humourous teaching. I can’t wait to try my hand at another course by the excellent and very talented Lucy. Thank you!!"

Roundedby responded:

"Thank you so much for coming to the course and this lovely review - I LOVE your Willow stool - and your eagerness to engage with the process as well as the result - thank you so much and WELL DONE! Best, Lucy"

Julie Street reviewed: Upholstery for Beginners Workshop - in Preston

"What a wonderful day at the Boho Shed upholstery session with Jo. I learnt so much from Jo who was so knowledgeable and had time for everyone who needed assistance, advice or any questions answered. There were plenty of tips to help me with my upholstery in the future. The location and setting was brilliant with a fabulous restaurant attached to the workshop selling homemade food that was delicious. Jo also provided tea and homemade yummy cakes. The rest of the group who attended were lovely with lots of lighthearted banter, laughs and fun. I would strongly recommend signing up for the upholstery course for the day with Jo at the Boho Shed, whether you’re just starting out with upholstery or curious to find out what it’s all about. I promise you you’ll get hooked and want to start on more projects of your own at home. Thanks Jo for your kindness, patience, outstanding knowledge and hosting a lovely day."

The Boho Shed responded:

"Aww Julie, thank you so very much for your gorgeous review. I'm delighted you enjoyed the workshop, the venue, the laughs and the cakes :-) I had a really great day with you all too. I look forward to seeing what you produce at home. Big hugs. x"

Lesley Hope reviewed: Adventures in book binding with Ali Reeve

"A good crafting day for my daughter and myself. Many ways of working learnt and almost 5 books made. Perhaps 4 books would have been enough leaving time to be more precise with the last one and possibly time to play on and consider the cover decoration. "

Stamps Away responded:

"It was lovely to see you and I appreciate we all work at different speeds and the last book was the “your choice” book and after yesterday’s conversations you can see choices on how to create your books can be endless, and you can get totally lost in the process. But hopefully book binding will be a new craft to enjoy at your leisure and these will be the first of many books. Hope to see you again soon. "

"Highly, HIGHLY recommend. David is a true gent! A really nice guy who is there to add value to you and he really uses his knowledge to make sure you get what you want out of a group. Much more theory based and conversationally and tbh he taught me this is exactly what you need. Really laid back and I have to say I have come away with a new level of understanding and confidence. Al Cunningham reviewed: Training course in upcycling with pallets. An introduction to making furniture with pallets for beginners

"I had a great day yesterday with the BlackPaw Upcycling project on their introduction to Upcycling with pallets course. It is a relaxed course with opportunities to try different techniques from dismantling pallets to making our project. Best of all is that it is a small group course (4) so Scott had lots of time to talk us through different tools and techniques and for us all to practice them. Only downside is that I now need to buy more tools! Definitely will book on other courses."
