Barb Cannell reviewed: Stained glass for all at the Cheshire School of Glass

"Bought as a gift for my sister - but decided to tag along - This probably was the best art course I have been on and I have delivered quite a few myself! Incredible, knowledgeable and skilful Practitioners, who nurture individuals through cutting and snapping glass - into an intricate bespoke stain glass, with all the patience of saints - set in a professional studio. Best two days I had for a long time -planning to return and try a variety of other classes - truly uplifting, inspirational experience - worth every penny "

Cheshire School of Glass responded:

"Thank you for taking time to write such a lovely and positive review Barbara, really looking forward to seeing you again. Jen, Kat and the CSG team"

Nicole Naylor reviewed: Candle making workshops for beginners - St Albans, Hertfordshire

"My daughter and I would highly recommend this course. It was well organised and we learnt a lot. It was a lovely way to spend a morning doing something mindful and craft based. It was a really friendly atmosphere and biscuits were also kindly provided! We made three candles and a wax melt and learnt about how to scent and colour them. Overall good value for money. Would definitely book again. "

Mary reviewed: Learn how to layer up, quilt and bind a quilt, table runner or placemat

"I had a really enjoyable day , with a friendly group. I learned all the skills needed with options of how to work through issues that arise and what isn’t a problem when putting a quilt together. I did a small project of placemats , but have a lot of respect for those who were assembling a full bed sized quilt. I had not realised how many skills are needed to finish a quilt. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to dip their toe into understanding and learning the skills needed. The team were very helpful and helped to make difficult tasks become much easier. Viraaj Patel reviewed: Furniture making and Cabinetry beginners course

"Did this course with Jake on a peaceful Sunday. Jake was excellent right from the start with a warm welcoming smile and happy to just get stuck into the course straight away. He's such a knowledgeable guy and clearly loves what he does and it shows in how he delivers the course. We built an amazing coffee table and Jake explained all the various cuts and joints we would use, their purpose and how the specific tools are used for all the work. Overall it was an amazing, tiring, but extremely rewarding day and I would highly recommend to anyone with even a passing interest. Jake is a great instructor and such a lovely person that you will want to try your best and he will definitely get the best out of you. 5+ stars and definitely the best course I've been on so far."

Lisa reviewed: Jewellery Workshop - Make a Silver Ring

"Sheila was so welcoming and personable. My mum and I attended her workshop as a day out for Mother’s Day. My mum was able to bring along a photo of a pendant she liked and Sheila was able to provide the guidance to help make something very similar. It was such a fun afternoon and we both have a very different appreciation for jewellery now we see the craftsmanship that goes into it! Thank you for a lovely afternoon!"

Sheila Roussel Jewellery Design responded:

"Hi Lisa, I'm glad you had a lovely afternoon. It was very good to meet you both. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your weekend. Please get in touch if you'd like to return on another occasion. Regards, Sheila"

Chari reviewed: Introduction to Stained Glass Workshop

"For me this was a good course for making a start on copper foiling techniques. I liked practising with clear glass before starting to complete my chosen design. This meant that I could be more confident when working on my final piece. There was a relaxed atmosphere and Sarah was attentive and patient. "

Hobgoblin Stained Glass responded:

"Thank you Chari, your piece was beautiful, I hope you can get it to fit comfortably in the frame. "

Kathy reviewed: Introduction to creative floorloom weaving

"I arrived a little anxious because I'm the kinda person who follows patterns (and only then adds a personal touch) but I left feeling inspired and liberated by the freedom of Saori weaving, the joy of playing with and exploring colours and textures I don't usually go to and knowing that whatever I created it would be just fine . Janine gently guides, suggests and encourages. Was a truly wonderful afternoon."

Elizabeth Donaghy reviewed: Spoon Carving with Touchwood Glasgow

"A great way to spend a Saturday. Robert is a very knowledgeable and patient teacher as I was a complete novice, never having done woodwork before. I’m already looking at potential friends & family to gift this experience to. Robert followed the course with an email containing useful information and where to buy supplies. Great location with trains, buses & parking in side streets. If you’re thinking about this course I recommend you go for it. "

Callum reviewed: Potter's wheel pottery - half day course Siramik

"The course is amazing. I got the day experience as a birthday present for the girlfriend and now I’m into pottery. Although I only did the 1 day course. I am considering doing the lessons when work gives me some time off. The venue has amazing views and easy to find (with the helpful instructions). The experience alone is worth it, but I can’t wait to bring my pots back. I can’t recommend it enough. "

Siramik responded:

"Hello Callum, Wasn't it a fun day! The course should really come with a health warning because if you get hooked on pottery, you might well be building yourself a studio for your potter's wheel and kiln. Thank you for your kind words, I always hope that participants of the courses get the best of me and try to convey a bit of my passion onto my students. Now it will be waiting for the pots to dry and be fired. Thank you again for the morning companion."

Nick R reviewed: Beginners spoon carving course

"Steve's spoon carving course was really excellent and highly enjoyable. All the chopping, cutting & carving techniques were clearly explained and demonstrated so that we were able to use the tools effectively and, most importantly, safely. It was also fascinating to gain an insight into how the wood was sourced from Steve's woodland and prepared for use. I came away with a new appreciation of the craft involved in working with green wood - and a desire to continue in the future. Many thanks to Steve for a brilliant day - highly recommended!"

Alex reviewed: Sip and make-Beginners Earring making workshop

"What an absolutely wonderful experience! I did this craft course with my mum for mother's day and we both had a brilliant time and learned so much. Diane ran the course and was a joy to get to know. On arrival we were presented with prosecco (or tea/coffee) and there were also some nibbles which was a really lovely touch!! The course was very informative and we managed to make 3 beautiful pairs of earrings! Diane was an excellent teacher, we felt very relaxed and the whole experience we found to be very therapeutic. Huge range of beads and designs you could make too . Thank you so much Diane, we had a great day and hope to come back for soap making! "

Creative Path Crafts responded:

"Wow Alex, that is quite the review. I'm just so pleased you enjoyed yourself and got to spend some quality time with your Mam. Now get those earrings made for your bridesmaids 😂. Any further questions or enquiries just email me. Diane x"
