Tabitha Bailey and Nancy Pike reviewed: Glass Experience Day: Try fused glass, stained glass and enamelling in 1 course!

"We attended the three in one glass experience day which was arranged as a birthday present for my mum’s 80th. We really enjoyed learning and trying out all three techniques and greatly appreciated Sarah’s patience and support throughout. It was fascinating to see how the enamel pieces were created and to be able to experiment with the different colours. We enjoyed a very delicious and relaxed lunch with Sarah and Chris. We are really pleased with all of our pieces which all came out well. I already have one of my pendants and been complimented on it. Thank you Sarah. "

"I had a wonderful day with Jo in her fabulous studio. I was made to feel very welcome and Jo was a great facilitator...guiding, supporting, tweaking and encouraging us all to create stunning hare sculptures. I had never done anything like this before but came away with a beautiful seated hare that I am proud to have sitting in my patio. Such a fun uplifting day. Thanks Jo! "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Lorna! It was a fabulous day - everyone made the medium sized hare starting with the same wire armature, yet they were all uniquely different by the end of the day! So glad you enjoyed the experience and now have your lovely hare watching over your patio. Jo xx"

Sheila reviewed: Natural dyeing workshop - 'Local Colour' - Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex

"I attended this day course with a friend. We had a really enjoyable day. The tutors were friendly, knowledgeable and informative. The other students were great fun. We dyed wool using readily obtainable items such as onion skins and dried daffodil flowers, we were given information about dyes, mordents and shade cards and we were able to experiment with our own mixture of colours toward the end of the day. We were provided with tea, coffee and lovely cakes and we were able to take home 4 skeins of wool dyed in 4 different shades. There was wool available to purchase, also ready made items e,g, cushions. We were treated to a tour around the flower farm which was very interesting. A thoroughly lovely day. Would highly recommend."

Denise Ward reviewed: Fused glass 'create' workshop

"I had such an amazing time on the glass fusion course run by Kathryn, who was very professional and had all the tools we could require already laid out. As a novice I appreciated the introductory talk and then it was time to be creative. In my 2.5 hours I made a personalised heart bowl for Valentine's Day for my husband and three red rocket hugs to give to friends, plus a sea scape coaster. They looked amazing when done but I really can't wait to see the finished items after being fired in the kilns. Highly recommended and would definitely join in again as I was inspired by the projects of others around me."

Felix Tabitha responded:

"Thank you so much for your lovely review Denise! Your creations are cooking in the kilns! "
