We learned lots about different clay-modelling techniques but there were also opportunities for children to be creative and do their own thing. We'll definitely sign up to another course soon."

Rachel & Ruby reviewed: Fused Glass Candle Curve

"My teenage daughter and I visited the curved glass fusion workshop during the Easter half term. Wendy’s workshop is situated in a perfectly idyllic location in a lovely bright studio space. All was very welcoming, she made us a nice brew and introduced us to the craft of glass fusion. Wendy guided us throughout the process, very informative patient and was generous with her time. We had such a lovely relaxed experience and really looking forward to receiving our glass works once they’ve been kiln fired. A highly recommend creative experience! "

Sheila reviewed: Beginners 1-day pairs pottery / ceramics workshop

"What a fantastic day! I was so lucky to be invited by my friend Vyv to join her after receiving the day as a present. After a very warm welcome from Louise we settled into her studio and with generous amounts of tea and biscuits had a great morning handbuilding pots and chatting. Louise guided us, but also gave us the opportunity to use our creative skills and we were very pleased with our results. After a delicious lunch and a chance to meet and chat to both Louise and Simon we began our afternoon on the wheel. This is something I have always wanted to do and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, lots of help and guidance, but also the chance to just get on with it and we did produce pots of a sort! It was fun. Thank you Louise and Simon for making us so welcome and for such a memorable day."

Vickie reviewed: Pick & Mix Glass Fusing Taster Sessions (Open Group)

"Absolutely perfect course. Dawn is very warm-hearted & friendly, highly inspirational and very encouraging. I’d never done glass fusion at all and ended the course feeling knowledgeable about this beautiful art form. Very jolly atmosphere with others doing this too. For those of us in bill-paying, often grey & grim corporate jobs, with little outlet for expression or colour, this is highly recommended. It (really) lifts your heart and soul! I’ll be back! 🤗"

Dawn Turner Designs responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review Vickie, it lifts my spirits to know that it made you so happy! I am so pleased that the group got on well, it makes all the difference I can’t wait to see what you all made, everybody created beautiful pieces"

Andrea reviewed: Ukulele build (assembly from Kit)

"There's a unique magic in transforming separate pieces of timber and various bits and bobs into a vessel of music. Ted's Woodworking's ukulele-making day was empowering and fulfilling. I walked into the day with nothing but curiosity and left with a uke that I assembled myself (with some help). Thank you for guiding me through each step with patience and expertise. Highly recommended to anyone looking to explore the joys of craftsmanship and the beauty of music in a slightly easier way than starting from scratch. "

Teds Woodworking/ instrument making Courses responded:

"Thank you for your kind words Andrea, so happy to help and look forward to seeing you on the other courses we spoke about my friend. Kind regards Ted 👍👍😎"

Sarah Godwin reviewed: Fused glass at The Warwick Arms Hotel with Helen from The Butterfly Effect Studio

"I had the loveliest day learning about glass fusion. Helen is the most patient, warm, engaging teacher, who quickly put any of my apprehensions about trying something new to one side. Helen explains everything clearly & as many times as needed. I'm not naturally artistic, but you don't need to be.... all the equipment & guidance is there to enable you to make beautiful fused pieces. I am so glad I tried it, & so pleased with how my items turned out. Think I have discovered a new hobby!! The venue is light, spacious & airy. I would absolutely recommend Helens' workshops, either going alone, as I did, or with friends.... you're given such a warm welcome & you WILL enjoy it, I am sure."

Butterfly Effect Studio responded:

"Hi Sarah, thank you so much for taking the time to review the fused glass workshop. You created some beautiful pieces and it was really great seeing you grow in confidence. It was a very friendly and supportive group and we had a good giggle so that’s always a bonus too. Spending time with like-minded people is such a joy. Looking forward to seeing you at future workshops🙏🏻👍🏻🦋"
