"I enjoyed my stained glass 1 day course with Emma. I found the whole day very enjoyable and interesting. She is knowledgeable and funny! We got on really well and came away with a beautiful stained glass panel which I didn’t think was possible in such a short time. I highly recommend this course with Emma. It was a brilliant value for money and quenched my craving for creativity! Thanks Emma xxx"

"My mum and I had a fantastic day with David and Caroline! Not only did they create a warm, welcoming space where there was no wrong questions but their enthusiasm and passion for green woodworking was infectious! Would definitely recommend this experience to any one looking to learn a new skill and just have a fun day out. Thank you for your patience David and Caroline, we have shown our spoons to just about anyone who will listen!!"

Mireille Truong reviewed: Premium experience package dry stone walling for beginners

"A very inspiring course in which a team of beginners rebuilds from its foundations a section of wall fallen into disrepair. Carl explains clearly the principles of the wall's longevity, strength and beauty. Theory is always backed up by practice. Attention is paid to safety in handling heavy stones and great tips provided to move them. The days have pauses and Sharon provides tasty and healthy sustenance and friendliness and magic to the environment. Highly recommended! Lots of fun!"

"This was a really enjoyable course. The weekend was well-structured and well run. I learnt a lot and it felt really good to be learning about dry stone walling whilst helping to re-build an actual wall on a working farm. There was a good atmosphere throughout the weekend, it was friendly and relaxed, also the location is beautiful. Overall it was a great weekend and I came away feeling very upbeat and refreshed. "

Ruth Webster reviewed: The Beautiful Craft of Needle Felting - Hare

"What a great experience! I had a brilliant day felting a hare with Jenny- our amazing tutor. Jenny is extremely talented and very patient and helpful. The whole process was fun and relaxing, and we all had our own lovely felted hare to take home. We had a very warm welcome from Jude and his family and from our tutor Jenny. The surroundings were beautiful, and we were encouraged to wander in the beautiful garden. Hot and cold drinks, biscuits and cake were provided and nothing was too much trouble. The crafting barn was a really lovely space and all materials for the course were provided. There is even a clean and cozy airB&B on site right next door to the crafting barn- so no need to travel far to take part in the amazing courses this venue has to offer. I had the most amazing day 🤩, the time flew by, at the end of the course I was reluctant to leave- I just wanted to stay and felt into the night! I highly recommend this fabulous course in such a beautiful venue. It was worth every penny! 😊☺️You definitely will not be disappointed."

The English Country House responded:

"Hi Ruth, I’m so glad you had such a wonderful day, it was a genuine pleasure to meet you and thank you for your lovely feedback! Stay in touch. 😊 Best wishes, Jude"

Christine Steele reviewed: Dichroic glass pendant and earrings

"What a great experience. Diane made us very welcome, and at ease as we had never done anything like this before. We were shown examples that we could take inspiration from, practicing on small pieces of plain glass before we used coloured. As the pieces have to be fired we won't see the results for a few days, when I will return to pick up the finished articles. I bought this experience for my friend and myself she was thrilled."

Crafty Diane Gift Shop, Art Gallery and Craft workshops responded:

"Thanks for the lovely review. I am so glad you both enjoyed yourselves and your pieces are fired but not made into finished pieces yet. X"

Gil reviewed: Kintsugi Repair Kit Gift (8 Piece - Zero Waste)

"Nicely packaged and arrived in reasonable time after I placed my order. I wouldn't describe it as suitable for beginners, though. More suitable for those with craft experience, or as part of/ follow-up to a course. "

Pete reviewed: Stained glass weekly classes in Sheffield (South Yorkshire)

"I’ve returned to working with Martin on one of his stained glass courses and it’s as good as ever, if not better. The facilities are fantastic and his instruction is second to. none. I’ve enjoyed it so much I’ve booked on next term’s course. My wife has also booked on a one day course to make stained glass flowers. I’d recommended his courses to everybody but don’t all apply as I’ll find it difficult to book on myself"

Martin McAssey Glass responded:

"Thank you for the great review, see you in September."

Julie Hobson reviewed: Woodcarving with Jason Thomson sculptural woodcarving with hand tools, eccentric whittling courses, Sheffield.

"I’ve always wanted to try hy hand at wood carving and I was very pleased my first experience was at one of Jason’s courses. Jason was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful; it was also nice to discover he is responsible for some great sculptures I’ve seen around Sheffield. It was a most enjoyable day and I was pleased with my relief carving for a first attempt. Due to my arthritic knees, I also got to make use of Jasons little work bench - a brilliant idea! Definitely recommend this course if you want to have a go at carving. "

Jason Thomson - Sculptor responded:

"Thanks for your review Julie, I was glad to get you set up at a comfortable work station. Great to see your creation emerge!"

There was no pressure for everyone to be at the same stage, everything was explained clearly and repeated when needed. Tracey Guymer reviewed: Tool sharpening

"On Sunday I was lucky enough to do a tool-sharpening workshop in Ecclesall Woods with tutor Dave. & being an outdoor class it was an extra bonus that it was actually a rare warm and sunny day! I enjoyed every minute of the workshop as Dave taught me how to sharpen my big choppy tools. It was like being on an episode of 'the repair shop' only better!! As Dave, the expert, was actually teaching and showing me how to restore my dad's beautiful old axe and mum's beautiful old billhook ... myself!! Dave was a really great tutor and immensely knowledgeable so I learned lots of interesting related facts along the way. He was also very kind and we didn't just sharpen my tools, we fixed them properly, restored them to their former glory and gave them a brand new lease of life! And now I can't wait to spend time fixing up, restoring and sharpening all my other old tools!!"

Alan reviewed: 2 Day beginner stone carving course with Ben Russell

"Had a brilliant weekend up in Dorset with Ben. His workshop may be a concrete sileage pit but he has turned it into a little Eden! An amazing place to learn this craft. Ben was a great teacher, patient, willing to let us get on and generous with sharing his hard earned knowledge and skills. I felt truly inspired after the weekend and have been chipping away at my piece of limestone since. Would recommend to anyone who wants to give it a go! "
