Julia reviewed: Blacksmith Beginners Experience Day - One to One or Couple

"I bought this Blacksmithing session for my husband for his birthday. He came away with nothing but praise for Richard’s patience, skill and the ability to centre the course around the participant’s previous ability and knowledge. He was so enamoured with the work he produced that he is thinking of repeating the course. He is certain that Richard will give him a second great day built on his first session. Highly recommended as an exciting and very different present."

Hazell Forged responded:

"Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review Julia, much appreciated. I really enjoyed the day too - it was good to meet you both. It's so pleasing when I get the chance to work with an individual on a bespoke project they have in mind. The day flew by and much fun was had. I look forward to his revisit and can't wait to see what new artwork we can work on together."

Dawn Davies reviewed: Two day dry stone walling course at Freshfields Animal Rescue Centre Nebo North Wales

"Fantastic course. In the 2 days we removed a section of wall that needed repair and rebuilt from the foundation up. Excellent instruction and worked at a steady pace. Some of the stones were very heavy but with the instructor’s muscle power we managed to get them in place. Felt great to admire all the work we had done . Great group of people on the course."

Dry Stone Walling Association North Wales Branch responded:

"Thanks for this Dawn. It was a very good section of wall and great working with nice people. I really enjoy these courses and meeting the people. Regards Paul "

Paul reviewed: Spoon carving course (1 day)

"Thank you to David for a wonderful day of spoon carving. I was bought this as a Christmas present and got much more out of it than I had expected. It was well paced throughout the day, therapeutic, educational and creative. Having a small group (6) meant that David was able to give each of us instructional time as well as allowing for our own creativity to expand. The setting in the middle of oak woodlands was meditative, and the lunch provided was simple and exceptional. I would love to do more and plan to get the necessary tools."

M J Roberts reviewed: Beginners DIY & Home Maintenance Workshop in Cheadle, Gr Manchester (1 Day)

"I attended a DIY course with the Boho Shed. The course was delivered by a warm and friendly lady called Jo who has lots of practical experience. The material was easy to follow and there was no fear of asking those seemingly dumb questions which were answered patiently by Jo. I would highly recommend this course for the novice or for people who want to reinforce their self confidence when tackling their own DIY. The added bonus was the beautiful cakes and tea/coffee that was available throughout the day. The course was held at the Cheadle Drill Hall. I live out of the area but found the venue easily and had no difficulty parking. Thank you, Jo, for a Sunday well spent!"

The Boho Shed responded:

"Ahhh Melanie, what a wonderful review. Thank you so much for your very kind words. I'm so pleased you found the workshop so useful and yes, there are no 'dumb' questions what so ever, I welcome them all, and more often than not they are useful to the whole group. Thank you so much for helping me to pack up too, that was so kind of you. Jo x"

"Hi Mandy, What a lovely review, thank you so much! It was my absolute pleasure to have you and John join me. I can talk for hours about art styles and think of another 100 things I want to show you all, so your own interest and eagerness to learn more made it difficult to contain myself 😂 I'm so glad you both enjoyed the workshop, your finished projects were beautifully executed. Thank you again for the glowing review, I hope to see you both again at a future workshop. All the best, Vanessa"

Helen reviewed: Drawing with visual multilayered thinking skills

"It was a joy meeting Oliver online and learning from him. He tailored the session to my particular area of interest in his work and was really friendly and encouraging. The session left me with much to think about as I consider how Footnotes may help the children with whom I work. I recommend Oliver's book on the subject, but meeting him in person (albeit online) was even better! Thank you, Oliver."

Oliver West responded:

"Helen, thank you for your kind review! It was a pleasure to share with you! Do let me know how it goes back in school! Warm regards for now. Oliver "

Dave Valentine reviewed: Spoon Carving with Touchwood Glasgow

"Our day was as is described in the course outline. I enjoyed Robert's informative and laid back approach to the group. He demonstrated and explained each step of the process as we went along, then guided us as we tried to do it ourselves and we all produced a serviceable spoon at the end of the day. The time passed quickly - a sure sign of an absorbing activity. "
