Dave Valentine reviewed: Spoon Carving with Touchwood Glasgow

"Our day was as is described in the course outline. I enjoyed Robert's informative and laid back approach to the group. He demonstrated and explained each step of the process as we went along, then guided us as we tried to do it ourselves and we all produced a serviceable spoon at the end of the day. The time passed quickly - a sure sign of an absorbing activity. "

Alasdair McLaren reviewed: Spoon Carving with Touchwood Glasgow

"This course with Robert was excellent. It was a relaxed atmosphere and very informative. Robert discussed how and where he sources his wood from, the types of tools you need and shared some great tips on how to carve a spoon and finish the day with something which does look like a spoon. If you are looking for something different to do for a day to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life then I would whole heartedly recommended you do this course. I will be back again so that I can pick up more tips from him. Thank you, Robert, for a great day."

D Church reviewed: Blacksmithing for Beginners - Full Day Forging for One

"I recently attended the ‘Blacksmithing for Beginners - Full Day Forging for One’ and had a great day! The course was a wonderful birthday gift and a was a day well spent. I learned a lot and even remembered a few forgotten skills… not that I hadn’t appreciated it before, but there is more to being a blacksmith than just heating metal and belting it with a hammer! Chris’s structuring of the course, with his amiable mentoring and step-by-step guidance, made my experience interesting and rewarding. All-in-all, a great introduction to ‘blacksmith-ing’ - highly recommended."

jo sanderson-mann reviewed: Scrap glass mosaic workshop (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"Excellent tuition from Kate, explaining the basics of glass cutting and health and safety aspects. There was lots of scrap glass to choose from and we could choose from a template or could make our own design. Kate was very attentive throughout giving good advice, and the number of attendees was appropriate. The workshop was very well organised and we were advised on how to use all the tools and equipment. I would do it again, only wish it wasn't so far away."

Martin McAssey Glass responded:

"Thank you for the lovely review, we hope to see you again."
