Linda Atkins reviewed: Introduction to fused glass

"I booked a glass fusion session with Catherine for a start to a string of treats for my dearest friend's special birthday. It was to be our first exchange of fun for the next few days to follow. Catherine certainly helped me to create the start to special few days with making us feel very welcome to her studio. Catherine is extremely knowledgeable about glass materials - what is best to work with, colours when fired and working safely. We all throughly enjoyed our new experience and will certainly like to attempt to be creative again - very soon. Thank you, Catherine, for your patience and support with creating our designs. "

number8glass responded:

Certainly helped my knowledge and gives me more confidence to tackle some jobs around the house. Jo was a very patient teacher as well. Thank you!"

It’s so rewarding taking a piece of tree that has grown in the woods and turning it into something beautiful and functional, and all without the need for power tools. It’s clear Andy has lots of knowledge in all aspects of woodwork and woodland management and is a great tutor, whatever your previous experience or skill level."

Amanda Davies reviewed: Women's Woodwork Workshop

"Had an absolute brilliant day with the lovely Jess in her workshop in beautiful surroundings. Jess is a brilliant teacher, very patient, friendly, and made everyone feel at ease. Everything was explained simply, with lots of good tips. As an absolute beginner of woodworking, and zero knowledge on how to use a power tool I came away not only with a beautiful usable wooden tray, but also the confidence to do more projects. Will definitely be back. "

MR JAKE WHITBREAD reviewed: Blacksmithing, bladesmithing and metal craft

"Absolutely amazing experience. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Nigel is a great guide when it comes to dipping your toe into the world of metal! I did the one day course but would highly recommend completing the 2 days as this would provide you with more time to make and create difficult things. The space is incredible too, situated in a lovely part of the world. Nigel is a font of knowledge so don't be worried about asking questions. I would love to go again at some point in the future. Absolutely wonderful!!!! "
