Do you enjoy being creative? Do you like to try out new crafts? If so this sea glass creative framed art workshop could be just the thing for you! It's quite a unique workshop and every participant will create something beautiful and unique. Using beautiful pieces of sea glass hand collected from around the UK, the workshop will allow you to choose your own pieces, and design your own art work all under the guidance of Karen. You do not need to be creative, draw, or even paint, but you will surprise yourself at what you create. Feedback from workshops have highlighted how therapeutic and calming it is and the joy of being able to create something beautiful when the craft experience is limited. The workshops take place on a range of dates that include daytime, evenings and weekends. They are suitable for adults and children. Please enquire via the 'message the tutor' button if you wish to have something specific like a birthday treat, etc. Lasting for a couple of hours you will enjoy spending time in the moment, and creating something beautiful for you to keep or gift to someone special. The workshops are held at Karen's studio in North West Leicestershire, and at other venues. These workshops are also ideal for baby showers, hen dos, birthdays or any other reason to be with a group of friends. Workshops can also be held in your own home (mileage dependent). What's included in the price?
All resources to create a framed piece of sea glass art including: - Extensive collection of sea glass, driftwood and pottery. - Card to design your piece. - Variety of pens including acrylic, permanent, fine liners, gel. - Embellishments to add to your piece. - Glue and implements to create your piece. - A deep shadow box frame to complete your beautiful piece. - A bag to take home your beautiful piece If attending a workshop at the studio there will be tea, coffee and biscuits/cake. Or wine and fizz on request. Should you wish to hold a workshop at your own venue then refreshments will not be provided by Karen, but you are welcome to provide something should you wish to do so.

I am a retired special needs teacher and have always loved crafting. My love of sea glass came after I found some on the beach in the Isle of Wight. I made some pictures and then decided to set up a sea glass workshop business. It is quite unique as there aren't any other people working with sea glass in this area and I love seeing what people create. You don't have to be creative at all to come to a workshop and you will be surprised at what you create. You might even get to meet David my husband aka the sea glass hunter!! He can tell you lots of tales about where he has found the glass! You will have a warm welcome with tea, coffee and cake too.

There needs to be a minimum of 2 people attending the course to make it financially viable. Therefore 48 hours notice will be given if the course can no longer take place. It may be possible to transfer your booking to an alternative date or if you have more people that would like to attend the course you can add them on

There is always flexibility on dates, so if you are looking for something specific, i.e. for a special occasion, then please get in touch via the message the tutor button. There are always new dates being added but if you wish to have a private workshop this can be arranged.

Yes, please email Karen if there is something specific that you would like to book for. Previous workshops have included birthday parties, baby showers, WI groups, fundraising events and children's parties
These can be ran at your own home or venue.
If it is outside of Leicestershire then an additional fee will be charged to include expenses
Yes of course! If you have glass that you have collected yourself then please bring it along to create something special. I always love to see what people have collected and just kept in a jar and then see how they make it into a unique piece of art.
The sea glass workshops are suitable for adults and children aged 8 and upwards. I do have extensive experience working with children from age 4 and as long as they are supervised by adults they are more than welcome. Karen also does sea glass art parties for children so please get in touch if this is something that you would like to know more about.

Yes, I can travel to a venue of your choosing whether this be your home or a larger event. You just need to provide table and chairs and refreshments of your choosing and I will provide the rest
If it is a workshop that is in your home or a venue of your choosing then the participants can be increased to £25 and the price can be negotiated.
Yes there is adequate parking for 5 cars on the driveway
