Rachel Ellen reviewed: Letterpress, Print and Typography Workshop

"I had an excellent day on my letterpress workshop. Chris is so knowledgeable, helpful and creates a relaxed atmosphere. A full day workshop really helped me to learn as much technical information as I wanted as well as gave me time to be creative and explore the amazing collection of type. I really love the prints I produced and can’t wait to do more letterpress as soon as I can!"

Stu Newland reviewed: Dala horse carving

"My 7 year old son and I attended this course and thoroughly enjoyed it. We learnt about the tools, helpful safety tips, carving techniques and lots of practical tips / knowledge about woodcarving along the way. Alan was geat, and his partner a wonderful host - serving up fresh buns half way through. My son was really proud of the horse that he'd made - and hasn't stopped whittling since! It's been great to see him remembering and practicing some of the techniques that he picked up, and I feel better equipped to keep an eye on him and make sure he's being safe. We're hoping to return and do the spoon-carving course in the future."

Val Mayo reviewed: 'Art your way' with Jill Jones FRSA- TWO HOURS

"Wow! As an absolute beginner at using acrylics to create a "proper" painting, I was a little terrified when faced with putting brush to canvas. Jill was very supportive and encouraging, and at the end of the day, which included a lovely lunch prepared by Jill, I went home with a piece of art that I'm actually very proud of. The only disappointing bit was when our crafty session was over and I had to leave! I am definitely planning a return visit, hopefully in the not-too-distant future. Thank you Jill x"

Jill Jones Fine Art responded:

"Val, That’s so lovely of you! Your painting was amazing! And I’m delighted you enjoyed your day! Hoping to see you here again, Jill x"

Savannah Studley reviewed: Introduction to candlemaking course - Minehead, Somerset

"Bought this course for my friend and I to attend, it was absolutely brilliant. The instructor Tammy gave very clear instruction/direction. We made 6 candles in total; 2 dipped candles which were super fun to make, 1 poured beeswax candle, 1 scented and coloured candle, one coloured pillar candle and a rolled beeswax candle. It’s a great course if you want to try your hand at it but don’t know where to start as the instructors cover a lot of different techniques."

Sue reviewed: Fused glass bowl and dichroic glass jewellery in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire

"I had the fused glass bowl experience bought as a present from my children. I had an absolutely fantastic time. Melanie was brilliant at explaining the way it worked and all the processes etc. and she was very supportive in making sure I would get the best results possible. She didn’t rush anyone and as a consequence the afternoon ran over, but there was no pressure for anyone to rush the jewellery pieces, which are made at the end. She also made sure we had lots of fresh coffee and cakes to keep us going. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this experience and I am hoping to go again and maybe try the wave glass one next time. Absolutely brilliant Melanie, thank you."
