Margaret reviewed: Blow a bauble at Chew Valley handmade glass

"My friend and I had a great experience and were delighted with our baubles. The teacher demonstrated initially and then talked us through each stage when it was our turn. He was so encouraging, patient and gave clear instructions. My friend wanted to make a smaller one and he suggested a teardrop shape as an alternative. We love the finished results so much that we want to do it again and bring some girl friends."

Chew Valley HandMade Glass responded:

"Hi Margaret, so pleased to hear you enjoyed your time spent with Chris. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We would love to welcome you and your friends back in the future. Regards The team at chew valley handmade glass "

Helen Singleton reviewed: Introduction to fused glass (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"A really great day making fused glass items. I had no prior experience and the instruction and support we received from Martin was excellent. Great progression in using different types of glass for our items and I can't wait for them to be fired and collected. Refreshments were plentiful and a lovely area to eat our packed lunches. I will be looking at other courses to attend. Thank you Martin."

Shabana. reviewed: 1-to-1 Organic Skincare Workshop at Maid in the Meadow

"I had a lovely day at the skincare work shop, there was a lot of information to take in at that time, but slowly I am processing it in. I liked making lip balm, lotion, face oil, especially the rose toner I made it smells really lovely. Everything was explained to me. Allison is very knowledgeable and she was very helpful to me. I just wish she was near to where I am in Birmingham. The workshop has given me lots of ideas. I plan to visit the workshop again in the near future."

Maid in the Meadow responded:

"Shabana, thank you for your lovely review and I'm so glad you enjoyed your day and the products you made and are feeling inspired. I'm looking forward to welcoming you back to the workshop and please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions."

Juliet Wilkes reviewed: Natural Cold-Process Soap Making

"Took this class with my sister and it was fantastic. Wendy is lovely and very knowledgeable. The soap making is really fun and with Wendy talking us through/ showing us the process ( and giving us a handy booklet) I definitely feel confident enough to recreate the process at home. We both made a large block of soap, which makes roughly 7 bars overall and there were loads of options to customise the soap. I would definitely recommend the class!"

Tony Webber reviewed: One day welding course: an introduction

"Simply a stunning experience — a whole welding world in a day. Thank you Julian for sharing so much theory and technical facts along with a very practical based approach which gave me my very first experience of MIG first thing and then allowed me to build various techniques on that throughout a very thorough day. Great conversation and chats on a whole range of shared interests topped it all off. Additionally Julian gave me much valued and appreciated information and facts on choices of machines and the kit I will need. I will go again if only for an opportunity for guided practice and the best cup of tea in West Yorkshire! A yes from me and a recommendation to anyone wishing to try and apply MIG welding. Thank you."

Tracy Saunders reviewed: Full-day traditional basketry willow workshops with Pip Cottage in Lancashire

"Attended the bird/bee sculpture course at Be a Gardener Maker Julie was great. Her style is relaxed, calm with an eye on the clock to make sure we got refreshment breaks (the food was excellent). She brought examples of sculptures at various stages of completion so that we could see how ours might develop, although flexible enough to invite us to create our own versions from books or sketches. Providing all the essential tools and explaining the varieties of willow available, helpful at the key stages but hands off to allow you to be creative. Really enjoyable experience, everyone completed their chosen sculpture and also left with a bundle of willow to continue to fill out or make a wreath. Great value thanks Julie."

Pip Cottage responded:

"Thanks Tracy for your lovely feedback, it was good to meet you and glad you enjoyed the workshop. Your bee sculpture is very good and it would be great to see a photo of the bee in situ. Thanks, Julie"
