Caroline Elliott reviewed: Introduction to leaded stained glass

"Had a brilliant day with Gen. Did the stained glass course which was a bit trickier than I had anticipated but Gen was really patient and showed me what to do when I had gotten in a muddle. Had a super lunch and sat chatting with the other lady Joanne on the course. Learnt a lot of new things about cutting glass with the different tools. Would definitely recommend this course and I’m sure the fused glass course it just as educational. Thank you Gen."

Wicked Gen Crafts responded:

"Lovely to have you on the course and so pleased you enjoyed the day, learned lots and took away your own hand-made lovely piece. "

Melanie Alexander reviewed: A day on the tiles: one-day mosaic workshop

"I booked my friend and I for A Day on the Tiles as a birthday treat, and we loved every minute. After welcoming us with cups of tea, Fiona explained the process of making a mosaic, how to keep us safe and gave us guidance on our designs. The studio pinboard of photographs provided plenty of inspiration; there were many colours of tile to choose from and the supply was plentiful. Fiona worked alongside us, and was available to give advice when needed. We enjoyed plenty of hot refreshments alongside carrot cake. We chose to grout our own creations at home, so Fiona provided us with the grout and a set of instructions. The whole experience with Fiona was relaxing and enjoyable, thoroughly recommend it!"

Trish Collier reviewed: One day bangle/ring workshop

"I booked a bangle making workshop with Jolene for my daughter's 12th birthday celebrations. We had a wonderful time in such a lovely workshop space. It is clear that Jolene loves her workspace as that shows with all the wonderful things that are on display. Jolene has such a calm manner and instantly put my daughter at ease. Her style of teaching is relaxed and fun whilst also being informative. Ava initially started off quite worried about ‘messing up’ her bangle but with Jolene’s guidance and reassurance she relaxed and her bangles were amazing. Her confidence throughout the workshop grew and on all of my photos that I took she had a huge grin on her face. We both thoroughly enjoyed our time together, Jolene was amazing! She had also made us some wonderful homemade chocolate brownies and we had plenty of drinks. We were made to feel very welcome in Jolene’s wonderful space and are already wanting to return for another workshop. We will treasure our bangles that we made forever, they are beautiful. Thank you so much Jolene ?xx"

Karen reviewed: Acrylic Painting Workshop - Intuitive Art & Floral/Non-Traditional Mandalas

"As a complete novice I felt encouraged and supported throughout, which made for a positive creative experience. Information and guidance was given clearly with demonstrations where required. It was fascinating to see the painting unfold through different stages of the process, in unexpected ways. The environment was conducive, I learnt a lot without feeling overwhelmed, and felt I was in safe hands as I felt my way through something totally new to me. I would recommend to people at all stages of their creative and artistic journey. It was a fun day with a completed (for now) canvas to take away!"

Alchemy Through Art responded:

"Thank you so much Karen, I'm so pleased you felt encouraged and supported. I hope you feel a renewed confidence to continue your painting journey. If you need any further information, I'll be happy to help."

"I attended the one day knife making course with my 13 year old son and we had an absolutely fabulous day. The mix of excellent technical knowledge and a friendly, fun approach meant that the day just flew by. I felt really well supported by both David and Decklan (under Graham's watchful eye!) and both my son and I came away with knives that we can truly say we made ourselves and are immensely proud of. Liz reviewed: Introducing natural dyeing

"A lovely day spent in the woods gathering wildflowers and leaves to use for Eco dyeing- leaving the print of the flowers on card. Then being involved in the process of using various plant materials to create vivid or muted colours on wool and fleece depending on the plant material and method used- very exciting. Susan involved us all in the production which was very ‘hands on’ and we were all given samples of the dyed wool and fleece at the end of the day. She was very well organised - everything was to hand and there were printed notes and book lists to take away to continue your journey into natural dyeing."
