Denise reviewed: Gelli Plate Printing Workshop by Clare Cosens

" I have done one of these workshops before with Clare, but I always manage to learn and pick up new ideas and I thoroughly enjoy myself. Clare always starts with a brief explanation of the equipment we use, and suggestions on how to get started. With Clare's excellent eye for colour and design, she is more than willing to help if you're struggling at any point. I always manage to find something new to try, and leave with some satisfying prints. If you're looking for a morning of enjoyable crafting, I highly recommend you trying Geli plate printing, it's amazing what you can achieve and it's very addictive! Thank you Clare, keep up with the good work, looking forward to booking my next workshop with you. 😍"

Clare Cosens Designs responded:

"I’m really glad you enjoyed the workshop, it’s great to hear that you still picked up new ideas and techniques even though you have attended the workshop before. I loved your geometric prints - Well done!"

Jack Dimmock reviewed: Beginners Epoxy Resin Workshop

"The course was extremely good, our teacher was excellent, he showed us everything we needed to know for private crafts and I feel very confident to grow my skills and practice. Some of the provided materials weren't appealing, I was lucky a participant was absent and I swapped their wooden river materials for mine. Then whilst there were provided colour examples, there was no way to determine what material would create what colour. It should be said, if I was more confident I'd be more satisfied."

Dave reviewed: Crochet workshops in Leeds City Centre

"Had a relaxed afternoon with Ann learning Crochet. This was a birthday gift for a friend, they were really pleased as they had tried and failed to learn crochet off YouTube a number of times. They left having mastered the basics ready to start making. Ann was very patient with me as I am not the most nimble, but even I produced some crochet by the end of the course. This feels an ideal way to learn or improve a skill, in a relaxed and calm atmosphere. "

Leeds Central Faith and Light responded:

"Thank you, Dave, for these kind words. I am glad your friend enjoyed the session - they did very well and I hope their success continues. I was pleased with the efforts you made - as you say, not the most nimble, but you persevered. Kind regards Ann"

Alex reviewed: Interior Design Course - five weeks

"Fantastic course, very happy! I have designed my bedroom in my new home during the course with the help of Aleksandra. It was amazing to have her advice for when I needed that extra confidence. We covered floor planing, colour, lighting, patterns, inspiration and interior design styles. It is well structured and there are plenty of follow up materials. I can't wait to do other rooms in my house now I've learnt so much. I feel so confident! "

Skela Studio responded:

"Very kind of you Alex to leave a such an amazing review! I'm absolutely delighted you found the course so useful. "

Sarah reviewed: Sun-printed lampshade making workshops in Devon

"The course was informative but shorter than the time allowed. I think it would be appropriate always to advise people that the course is taking place in a private house and that there are no other participants. The teacher was knowledgeable and I was pleased with the results. I was offered a drink, but other than that it was rather awkward being in a private house with no other participants."

Bridget Arnold responded:

"I did inform Sarah that it was just her attending as that was in answer to her question about the starting time the previous day, so she had the opportunity to say something then. Because it was only her attending she had my undivided attention so all her questions were answered fully and dealt with clearly , but of course it made the workshop shorter just being one person. It was of course in my studio and home space , I think it does say that in the information provided and my partner was here as well for some of the time. I am sorry Sarah felt awkward being on her own. She could always arrange to come with a friend in the future when booking a workshop. I only take small numbers of one or two people as the Lampshade making takes up a lot of room, which it also states in the information. "

Also his wife’s sausage rolls are to die for! I have already recommended this course to a load of friends. "I booked this course for my father and he had an absolutely wonderful time. He learned so much and Alan was so lovely to chat with. Sarah Nicklin reviewed: Winter Fused Glass Snowflake Workshop

"I have attended two workshops at the Artists Studio including wreath making and on each occasion we had a wonderful time. The studio itself is beautifully decorated and the refreshments around the log fire is magical. Due to the small group numbers at the workshop Diane is always available to help and advise. A beautiful environment to create some wonderful crafts. Would highly recommend."

Petra Sharp reviewed: Pottery throwing day for two in the South Downs National Park

"We had a wonderful day at Rowena's studio. I booked a one day course for myself and my husband. It was so nice to have such one to one training, as it really gave us the opportunity to get better at our technique. We managed to make quite a few bowls and vases. We can't wait to pick them up once they've been fired and glazed. Would definitely do it again and 100% if you want to have a go at throwing a pot! "
