Louise Kettle reviewed: Upholstery for Beginners Workshop - in Cheadle

"I really enjoyed this course. A very relaxing environment allowing me to shut out everything and concentrate on creating my own little footstool. It also gives me something to focus on as I approach retirement. Jo is an excellent teacher allowing you to explore your own creativity with paints and fabric and to share ideas with the other attendees. The cakes were amazing as well!! "

Sally reviewed: Making jewellery from waste plastic with Bronwen Gwillim

"There's access to the course for one year so I'm taking my time with it and haven't completed it yet. So far I've found Bronwen's videos are excellent- clear and easy to follow. When I've posted a question to Bronwen she's replied within a few hours. I'd recommend this course if you're interested in the possibilities of using plastics, lots of possibilities here! "

Tom reviewed: Basket making for beginners using traditional willow basketry techniques

"We had a great day out basket making and even managed to produce some decent looking baskets by the end of the day. The tuition was excellent, there was a mix of examples to follow, group demonstrations and one to one when required. There was plenty of tea and cakes to keep us going and the extra lunch option from a local caterer was very tasty and well worth it and the accompanying tunes were spot on."

"That's so good to know it was a helpful class! Resin can be so offputting with all the different things to consider and getting started it is often the hardest part, so I'm glad to hear the session helped you get comfortable using it. Your pieces look really lovely and I'm sure many more will follow :)"

Peggy Taylor reviewed: Silver Ring Making Workshop

"A special, unique opportunity to learn or brush up skills in a beautiful environment. Darren, whose workshops takes on average two people is an extremely talented jeweller. I'd read a review about not being too ambitious so whilst had ideas was willing to be guided. Darren was so friendly and facilitated me to run with it adding even more to my design. Wow! I now not only have my beautiful ring but an experience which will stay with me and enable me to go further. Thank you Darren. "

"My boyfriend and I had a really fun time carving miniature bowls under Tim's guidance. Learned a lot about whittling and knife techniques in a safe and friendly environment (not to mention excellent coffee and some treats). I am a slow learner but Tim was very patient and helpful. Left with a bowl I was pleased with and a sense of accomplishment. Would recommend 🥣👌"
