Pippa was very patient in showing us how to do different things, working at our own pace. We enjoyed the relaxed chat and giggles whilst weaving, along with the fab tea and cake Pippa provided. She was very generous with her time and we left with an array of woven goodies and a keen interest to learn more about willow weaving. I can thoroughly recommend."

"We signed up for course as two craft lovers with no artistic ability, hoping that we'd possibly manage some nice abstracts and enjoy trying something new. Phil was a great teacher and shared basic techniques for working with wax and heat. By the end of the day we had each created six very different pieces. Thanks to skill on Phil's part, and serendipity on ours, the results were great and we had a lot of fun in the process. "

Pippa Ward reviewed: Pottery throwing day for two in the South Downs National Park

"My husband booked this for me as a Birthday gift which had to be rescheduled due to my work commitments and Rowena was very accommodating to ensure we were able to attend. We had a fantastic day with Rowena who explained every step and was on hand the whole time to guide us to the point where we both threw a few bowls in the morning and we chose to continue on the potters wheel in the afternoon session also where we made small pourers and small vases. We chose our glaze finish from examples in the workshop and will collect them later. The course exceeded our expectations, whether an absolute beginner like my husband or a novice like myself Rowena was able to teach comprehensively each stage of the throw , positioning of hands and method though each stage. We were delighted with our end results and can’t thank Rowena enough. I would highly recommend this course with Rowena who will definitely not disappoint anyone who attends . We saw other students pieces which had been fired also and the quality was exceptional. I purchased a few pieces of Rowena pottery including a coffee mug for my daughter in law which she loved. Thank you Rowena for a wonderful experience "
