"We had a wonderful time with Alison and Kate on Sunday getting to sample various different smells in perfumery and being able to relate them to products already use or then applying that to get things that smell like what we like!! Learned a lot about the perfumery industry and got insight on how perfumers do their work which is wonderful. Making our own fragrance was really fun as everyone’s is slightly different but really ties into their personality - learned so much was with a great group of people it was really relaxed! Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves smells and wants to know more about them!"

"This was jolly good fun and I left with a splendid sea glass ring (with a piece of sea glass I found on the beach in Looe, in Cornwall). Even when I discovered it was all going A Bit Wrong (my soldering skills leave a lot to be desired!) the tutor showed me what was going wrong and how to make it right and it was all fixed beautifully. Altogether a very fun and also educational day (I like to learn new skills, even if I'm not good with them, or if they won't be used much!)."

"This was a 70th birthday present which was excellent. Colin is a very experienced teacher and he demonstrates techniques and then lets you have a go. He then tells you how to correct any errors you have made. A very hands on course and not as much hard work as you might think. A really fascinating day in which I learnt so much and enjoyed even more. Highly recommended!"

"I did a hot wax encaustic course with Jane and thoroughly enjoyed the day. She was welcoming and her studio is lovely, located in a beautiful, rural setting. Jane introduced us to different types of encaustic techniques, materials and tools, followed by hands on experience. Since then I've bought the necessary equipment & wax and have produced a body of work on cradled panels on a theme of the 'nest' - I've been wanting to do this for some time but didn't have the right process. Encaustics is perfect for it. I look forward to experimenting with other ideas ahead. I recommend Jane's workshop to anyone wanting to learn a new & exciting technique. "

"Definitely the only type of ironing I enjoy. My friend and I spent a lovely morning with Jane in her workshop learning all about encaustic art. It is difficult to take your eyes from the incredible view but hopefully gives you inspiration to create your masterpiece and play with the iron and wax. A no stress, relaxing workshop under the careful and knowledgeable guidance from Jane, not forgetting a yummy piece of homemade cake and coffee. A different type of creative workshop, I highly recommend. We will be back to try the other techniques. "

"My husband bought me this as a birthday surprise. What a fabulous day! Emma was lovely and so passionate and knowledgeable. The morning was very interesting and the course handouts very informative. We made two batches of soap and it was great to see all the variations. The workshop smelled amazing. Left with my 2 batches plus a starter kit and a couple of bars. Very enjoyable day and excellent value for money with the amount of soap we made to keep. Highly recommended "

"This course is great. I wanted to get back to basics and really practise marking out, cutting by hand and being shown how to hand plane properly. Ted gave some great advice and I've learnt loads. The day flies by and I really feel I'll be making better projects in the future. Would highly recommend. "

"I did the two day course, it was very informative and Geraint was absolutely brilliant, coming round to each of us to check that we were happy with our work, if there was a problem, he would correct it, if needed, or tell you how to do it, all the tools were there, as was the wood and a variety of stencils to choose from. I have never carved at all, but surprised myself at the end and produced a hedgehog curled up. I might do it again and choose a different piece. Thoroughly worth it."
