Yvonne and Mick Easter reviewed: Enter the world of Pyrography with Bob Neill

"We have just got back from enjoying learning the new skill of pyrography with Bob who is a brilliant tutor, who explained all the different techniques we needed to use on the various materials we worked on. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by Bob and his wife Del , there was plenty of tea and coffee , plus Welsh cakes at 11, then the fabulous lunch provide by Del. The day just flew by and by the end of it we were surprised and very pleased with what we had both achieved. Mick took a bowl he had turned and Bob advised him of the best way to decorate it, it’s very impressive. We would definitely recommend this course to family and friends. A day to remember, thank you Bob and Del and the antiques quiz at lunch time was good fun."

Burnt Offerings responded:

"Hi Yvonne and Mick Many thanks for your kind words about your day with us It was excellent to see how much you had achieved in the day Especially Yvonne and Her Cheeses Board and the decoration achieved by Mick on His bowl Hope to see you again for an Advanced Course All the best Bob and Del "

Ruth Kelsey reviewed: Glass in Concrete for Beginners

"Had the most amazing time with Ruth and Carol (my fellow attendee). It was such fun to learn a new skill. Ruth was so helpful and encouraging and really made the session one to remember! There really is something therapeutic about making things by hand. What can be better than spending time with lovely people learning something new. The time went by far too quickly and cannot wait to get back and try something else ❤️"

KelZig responded:

"Over the years I have discovered that an informal joyful environment works best for most attendees. Mix that with such joyful attendees and that sense of achievement extrapolates. It was really great fun having you with us and the relaxed conversation was fab. Definitely hope to see you soon!"

LW reviewed: Bladesmithing experience day

"I bought this 1 day course for my husband as a Christmas present. Steve was enormously helpful in trying to get a date that worked for my husband and was prompt to respond to any enquiries and emails. My husband attended the course this week - he said it was brilliant, hugely informative and enjoyable. The fact that only 2 people attend each class means that you have a lot of support and tuition. I highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in blade smithing, and the knife he produced is amazing."

White Tiger Knives responded:

"Hi Luisa Thank you very much for your kind review and I'm really pleased that Andy enjoyed his day bladesmithing in the shop with me. The knife that he produced was rather nice as well and if he decides to return for a two day event we'll see what we can do in 2024. Thank you once again for wanting to book Andy on one of my experience days. Kind regards Steve"
