"A really relaxing and engaging experience. Julia was full of knowledge, clear and encouraging. She gave us loads of space to experiment and learn and was keen to answer questions and demonstrate. The process itself was very soothing and amazing to experience as you see the glass developing before your eyes."

"I attended a day course on Friday 14th April. I was a complete Mosiac novice, after a relaxed informative day I came away with 2 completed pieces of work which I am delighted with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this course. Jennie is lovely and able to give lots of hints, tips, information and is a very accomplished, artistic crafter."

Andrea Hainsworth reviewed: Green Man stone carving in Yorkshire

"What an amazing experience with a wonderful tutor. I had never attempted anything like this before and hadn't realised just how 'physical' it was going to be. But it was really worth it! There was a group demonstration at various points during the day, and ongoing one-to-one tuition throughout as Helen moved amongst us giving encouragement and passing on her expertise if we were struggling with a particular bit. She is so approachable, easy to talk to and professional. There was coffee and tea whenever we wanted it and it was lovely to meet new people. There were eleven people in our group so we never had to wait for Helen to come to our aid. By the end I was exhausted and very dusty, but it was well worth it, and I had a Green Man to be proud of."

The West Riding Stonecarving Association responded:

"That's so nice.....you were a pleasure to meet and teach .thank you for taking time out of your day to write such a lovely review "

Mel reviewed: Beginners Watercolours & Cream Tea Experience (minimum booking is for 2 people)

"What a fabulous workshop! Amina instantly made us feel welcome and comfortable in the calm, purposeful environment. With a small group of three, Amina put us all at ease regardless of our levels of experience and ensured that we had the taste of success at every opportunity. Amina is a fabulous teacher and encouraged us all to be creative and put our new found skills to use in our final pieces. A huge winner for me was that Amina made a great cup of tea! The cream tea and scones at the end of the workshop were delicious, beautifully presented and the portions were generous. We will definitely be returning for another workshop in the future."

A.S.K Art & Pottery Gallery & Studio responded:

"Thank you for a fabulous review. I loved meeting the 3 of you, great company, lots of chatter and the enthusiasm… I wish I could bottle it up. You took everything in your pace and learned quickly. I look forward to seeing you all again for a workshop. The tea will be brewing Xx"

Susannah H reviewed: Natural Cold-Process Soap Making

"My mother, sister and I did this course together and it was great fun! We all really enjoyed learning a bit more about the process and working together to create three different soaps. Wendy was very patient and really took her time to explain what we were going to do, and why. Now we have to wait for four weeks to try our soap, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait!"

Andy Chester reviewed: Glass Suncatcher Copper Foiling Workshop

"I recently attended the glass suncatcher copper foiling course at Stanwick Lakes. I found the course very enjoyable and Jo an excellent teacher. She took us through every stage expertly. I found it very relaxing and laid back with the time allocated allowing plenty of time to complete your chosen piece. I was very proud of the hummingbird I produced. The setting and workshop were ideal too. I will certainly be looking at future events."

Linda reviewed: Portable power tools and abrasive wheel certificate(1 Day)

"A very good learning day with Mark. Being a DIY upcycling person it's so good to find out what tools are about and what and how I should be using them. I never knew there were so many different types of sanders, and drills. It will make my projects so much easier, and I'm so pleased with your advice and help on my 7 foot plank of roughly sawn wood. Showing me all the tools and giving me the the chance to try them out is definitely going to help me in deciding what I now need to go forward. So nice to meet you and your wife. Thanks again"

2 Rivers Tool Training responded:

"I'm glad you had a good day learning to use my big selection of power tools. Hope to see you again on one of my future courses."

Roger Watkins reviewed: Beginners 1 Day Traditional Stained Glass Course

"We had a wonderful time learning how to work with stained glass and we are extremely proud of what we managed to produce in just one day with Gill. Gill was an inspirational teacher, very encouraging and insightful - not just with the glass techniques but also in managing to lead us complete novices through the processes involved. Stained glass work is an ancient skill but so worthy of translation into the modern world. We are already planning some projects around our home. Thank you so much Gill."

Gill Rogers responded:

"Many thanks Roger for your wonderful review, it was so lovely to meet you and Gail. Hope you enjoy displaying your stained glass panels, they looked absolutely stunning! All my very best wishes to you both Gill "

Nina reviewed: Pottery throwing sessions on the potter's wheel in Norfolk

"I bought the course for my mother in law as a birthday present (but secretly I have also always wanted to throw some pots!). The setting of the studio was lovely easy accessible parking. Pat was great! She is very knowledgable and gave a little or as much help as we needed! We were able to make 6 pots and see our progress. At the end we were able to chose 2 pots for glazing and firing. Overall this was a lovely experience. I had a lot of fun and can’t wait to see the finished pots in 3 weeks’ time! Another bonus was seeing some of Pats amazing pottery at the studio with amazing Japanese influences- definitely would recommend going just to see these!"

Pat Southwood responded:

"Hi Nina, thanks for your lovely review, I am so glad you both had a good time, I will be in touch soon when your pots are ready, Pat. "

Laura Guzman reviewed: Silverclay beginners jewellery workshop in Newcastle upon Tyne

"My son attended the class and he was really happy with all he learned! Claire was really patient, she guided and motivated him throughout the class. He could work at his own pace providing the details that he wanted to his creations. He learned how to use silver clay, a material he had never heard about. He also learned about polishing and using the tools correctly! He wants to take more classes in the future. We really recommend this class"

"Nicole is a very good natural teacher, she has lots of patience and shows you clearly and precisely what to do in an understandable way. David Vose reviewed: Five day woodwork course - tools

"I can completely endorse all the positive comments from previous reviews. I had no experience of woodworking and now have a much treasured spinning stool to go with our wheel……AND(I) I can boast that I made it myself. Obviously I’ll be playing down all the hugely positive instruction, encouragement and support that Jay and Mark provided to make it happen. Perhaps more important than the stool though is the certainty that I won’t be stopping there. My son wants me to make a him a desk. I’ll be back!"

Suzanne McNabb reviewed: Modern upholstered footstool workshop - no experience required - the perfect gift!

"I had hankered after one of Lucy's footstools for a while and never thought I could really make one! But I took the plunge and signed up for the course with a friend and we and the other students in the class, all ended up making beautiful, practical, sustainable footstools which we are very proud of!! Lucy is an extremely kind, patient and knowledgeable teacher. She also is very funny and knows how to tell a cracking yarn whilst still pushing us to keep on time! Lucy shared many upholsterer's secrets and made us feel like we really knew what we were doing, even if at times it seemed like we would never get there! The studio space in Lewes is terrific with amazing light and it has such a great back-story (you'll have to do the course to find out!) We also had a delicious lunch and a really, out-of-this world amazing brownie when we were all flagging mid-afternoon. It was lovely to spend the day using my hands, and the little-used creative bit of my brain. And it was great to meet and chat with some really interesting and delightful women, with Lucy guiding, teaching, encouraging and helping when it was a bit too tricky! This is a great course taught by an absolutely fabulous teacher AND you get to take home a totally gorgeous footstool which I guarantee you will love! Thanks for everything Lucy xx"

Roundedby responded:

"Gosh! What a lovely review - but then that brownie is DELICIOUS! Thank you so much, it was a delight to have you on the course, your Sunshine footstool was absolutely beautiful! Lucy"
