Ashley Lynch reviewed: Two day dry stone walling course at Pensychnant, near Conwy North Wales

"A very good two day course with excellent levels of teaching of various levels of skill. The day was well structured and guided throughout, showing the complete build from a poor condition existing wall to a fully built wall. An enjoyable course, good for all levels of skill and strength. All equipment provided and explanations throughout. Fully enjoyed meeting the teachers and working with others as a team with the aim to start to learn this skilled art. Good venue, lovely location to learn and good facilities with easy direction. "

Dry Stone Walling Association North Wales Branch responded:

"Thanks for that Ashley. You were certainly up for the challenge of those huge boulders. It was a very good weekend and a very good length of wall achieved. Regards Paul"

I felt very proud to make a beautiful garment. Thank you. I will definitely be signing up for more. "

Holloway & Dillon responded:

"Thank you Helen for such a glowing response, I enjoyed teaching you. Hopefully you are able to put into practice the sewing skills you acquired on the day. Happy Kimono making! Hope I will see you at one of my next workshops. Susan x"

Petra reviewed: An introduction to flint knapping

"I attended this course with a friend in April and can highly recommend it. Jonny is incredibly knowledgeable and a gifted (and patient!) instructor. You really get an insight into the prehistoric mind and you learn to look differently at those stones. By getting hands on with the practice of these ancient techniques you gain a sense of ancestral connection and continuity of human experience that is priceless in this digital age."

Jonny Crafts Things responded:

"Many thanks and glad you enjoyed the day."

Daniel Jacobs reviewed: Two day dry stone walling course at Pensychnant, near Conwy North Wales

"What an amazing experience. In a nicely low key way we spent two days taking down a wall, and then rebuilding it. On the second afternoon i think we all stood back amazed at what the group had achieved. The organisers were all very patient and supportive, and the other participants were such a nice bunch of people. This course changed my perception of what can be done - and this has massively helped us with our plans for our own walls."

Dry Stone Walling Association North Wales Branch responded:

"Thank you Daniel. It was a very good weekend and a very good section of wall at the end. It was good that we had the younger, stronger ones to handle those huge boulders. Best wishes to you and Becky. "

Sue Nicholson reviewed: Chichester: beginners taster workshop - full day

"Enjoyed the day but found it too much in one day. Would have preferred to go slower instead of a quick taster of lots of things. I’m not artistic and found the free time at the end excruciating as I found I was way behind everyone else. Had to leave early. Bought a pen and ink calligraphy set to practice at home."

The Modern Calligraphy Company responded:

"Hi Sue Thankyou for attending our Beginners Taster Day and for taking the time to write your review. We really do appreciate all comments made and these have been passed onto Emily (our tutor). I do hope you enjoy practising at home and if you have any questions, please do contact us. Best wishes Nadine"

Plus we were home in time to watch the Grand National - what a day "
