Daniela Wolff reviewed: Premium experience package dry stone walling for beginners

"We had a fantastic time on the beginner's dry stone walling course. There were people from all different walks of life and ages on the course and we worked very well together as a team. We were all very proud of our wall and learned a lot from Carl and Tom. Sharon's lunches were delicious and there were plenty of snacks available during the breaks. It was also very satisfying to see the sheep taking shelter from the rain behind our wall a few hours after we completed it."

Jack Dimmock reviewed: Large human sculpture kit (50cm)

"Truly enjoyable, instructions were clear and the clay moulding stage was so hypnotising. Halfway and I didn't realise my music had finished. Dragging out the sculpting to those last details became harder after two days, but otherwise in spite of being my first and not being perfect, I am supremely satisfied with what I have done myself."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Jack! I love sculpting with clay - it's a different process to the normal sculpture workshops I run, and as you say, it's completely absorbing to do. Would love to see a photo of your finished piece! Jo x"

Ruth reviewed: Weave a willow foraging basket

"This was in every way a wonderful way to spend a day, starting with the warmth of the welcome from Melinda the moment I stepped into the beautiful studio workshop space. Claire Shilvock was a superb tutor, striking exactly the right balance between encouragement and expert tuition - the hours melted away as our 3D creations emerged from stacks of beautiful but straight basketry willow, step by step. She gently nudged us forward to ensure that everyone finished something to take home (they were all wonderful and individual pieces). Melinda was there throughout looking after us by providing gorgeous home made cakes and every imaginable beverage (caffeinated, decaffeinated, herbal etc) and serving the most delicious sit down lunch. I felt Melinda and Clare have a lovely knack of creating an atmosphere in which everyone felt included and supported whether they had come in a group or, as I had, came alone. I love my willow basket - I have proudly sent pictures to friends and one remarked "that does NOT look like the work of a beginner" - a testament to Clare's skill because I really am! Thank you Clare and Melinda."

Katy Herridge reviewed: Gel plate printing starter kit with handmade A5 gel plate, instructions and videos

"I bought this craft kit to do with my two boys who are 5 and 7. They loved it. The YouTube videos were useful, they didn't over complicate things and gave you lots of inspiration. We spent a lovely hour after school with the boys running in and out finding interesting shaped leaves to use alongside the textured items provided. Great fun, easy to use with impressive results. Can't wait to use it again."

Bev Evans Art and Print responded:

"Hi Katy! What a wonderful review and great feedback - thank you so much. It sounds like your boys (and you!) had a fab time and I’m sure they will enjoy using the gel plate with lots of other textures that they’ll find - experimenting with it is half the fun! Gel plate printing is such an addictive pastime for all ages and it sounds like it has definitely caught on in your house 😊. B xx"

Tracey reviewed: Beginners DIY & Home Maintenance Workshop in Warrington, Cheshire (1 Day)

"Well what can I say about my experience with Jo at the Boho Shed other than AMAZING. This was my first time for attending this kind of experience and it was fantastic. Jo was excellent at explaining and demonstrating how to tackle the tasks and at no time did she ever make you feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. I feel as a mature student that she made me feel that I could accomplish anything that I wanted to achieve. When the tuition was finished I felt as though I could tackle most things covered with confidence, Would highly recommend this tuition for all people who would like an insight on how to tackle most common household tasks. Thanks again Jo and if you run any further courses/tuition please keep me informed oh and thank your mum for the outstanding home made cakes (delicious) xx"

Claire Maclaine reviewed: Lampworking Workshop: Full Day Beginners Workshop

"What an amazing and enjoyable day exploring lampwork bead techniques with Suzanne. I didn't really know what to expect but I had bought some jewelry from Suzanne at an art fair and fancied treating myself to learning how to make beads. Suzanne is an excellent teacher and took me through the steps from creating a simple glass bead to making highly decorated beads. You don't need any experience of jewelry making so these workshops are perfect for beginners as well as more experienced makers. I found the lampwork process to be fascinating and engaging and Suzanne was very encouraging - I'll definitely be coming back for more! PS - the workshop was given to me as a present via gift voucher issued by Suzanne and I highly recommend it if you are looking for an unusual gift for someone who like to be creative."

Suzanne Jewellery responded:

"Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review Claire. So pleased you enjoyed your workshop. Hope to see you again soon. Suzanne x"
