Abi reviewed: Creative metalwork and welding, scrap metal sculpture.

"I bought this course as a gift for my friend Jemima for her birthday. I had such an amazing time- thanks Annie and Izi! Annie and Izi gave us an introduction tour of the workshop showing us the equipment we would be able to use and the scrap metal we would be able to choose bits from. It was great fun hunting through all the bits and pieces and thinking about how to join them all together. Annie and Izi explained which bits I had chosen could be welded together and which would have to be bolted. Out of a valve body for an automatic gear box, a bike chain, forks, washers and other bits of scrap I made an owl to go on my wall (which I love). Annie and Izi were really helpful but also let me crack on with using the equipment when I felt confident. I had great fun using the mig welder and the angle grinder- I even been looking up how much they are to buy since I got home 🤣 Loved this course so much! Thanks guys! Highly recommended! "

WTF Workshops responded:

"I found this course to be completely transformative! From learning about the history of tea and the tea ceremony, to taking part in the ceremony itself before using hand-building techniques to make two completely unique and different styles of tea bowl, I found the process completely immersive and rewarding on so many levels. I can honestly say, it's the most wonderful creative experience I've enjoyed for a very long time. Thank you Linda for your calm serenity, your knowledge, and your teaching and also to Chajin Claire for introducing us to the beauty of the tea ceremony. It's an experience that will remain with me for a very long time. "

Becci reviewed: 1 Day Raku Course in West Cornwall

"I visited on a cold wet Saturday in late April Only 3 of us on the course . Catherine welcomed us with a drink and got talking straight away about the days event. She had her own mixed glazes we could use as well as some ready mixed brush on glazes. We use horse hair to start with as a naked raku process then stopped for lunch. After lunch we cracked on loading the kiln with our other pots and took it in turns to smoke and wash them up afterwards. An amazing day loved every minute of it. Totally recommend to anyone to have a go. "

Lucktaylor Ceramics responded:

"Thanks so much for taking the time to review the Raku day. It was lovely to meet you and I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Stay inspired!"
