Samantha Taylor reviewed: Glass Bead Making Workshop - For Two People

"This was a present for my mum's birthday and we had a fantastic time. We had never tried glass beadmaking so it was all new to us. Julia explained things clearly, including safety, and it was fully hands-on. I could not believe how quickly the time went, we completely forgot to stop for snacks which is a first for me! Great fun and would 100% recommend. "

Jen Scott reviewed: Brush Calligraphy Workshop - Saturday Afternoons

"What a lovely way to spend an afternoon! On entry all our materials were laid out beautifully with names on all our place cards. The venue itself (Megan’s) was also lovely with staff at hand to take drinks orders. Although using the brush pens took some concentration, the process became really relaxing and although there were no great expectations or pressure for an amazing end result, we all saw great improvement from beginning to end! I would really recommend the course and hope to come again to another course in the future."

Jen Roffe responded:

"I'm so glad you enjoyed the workshop Jen, it really is a lovely way to spend an afternoon! You made great progress, which was so lovely to see. Enjoy spending some more relaxing time doing calligraphy, now that you've learnt a new craft! Hope to see you for another workshop soon :)"

Ann Armstrong reviewed: Crafts in the Valley - Beginners glass fusing workshops in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire

"I have recently attended several of Melanie's fused glass workshops. The atmoshere that she creates in the studio is warm welcoming and inclusive .As somebody new to this type of craft I thought that it might not be for me... but now I am totally hooked and look forward to my next creative experience. The joy of unwrapping each beautifully wrapped item after it has been in the kiln is for me like a child opening their birthday/Christmas presents! For anybody wondering whether fused glass is for them, I am certain that Melanie will convince you that it is! Give it a try... there is always plenty of delicious cake to assist the creative process."
