"The 1 day bookbinding course is fantastic! Our instructor Holly used her vast experience in bookbinding and restoration to create an informative and very well paced course. Thanks to Holly's clear instructions and encouragement, I went home with a hardcover note book to be proud of. As if the course itself wasn't enough, to do it at Zantium Studios was a joy. The views are stunning and Allison is a wonderful, warm and friendly host. Allison made sure we had everything we needed, from a wide selection of refreshments (available throughout the day), delicious handmade lunches and afternoon cakes. I'd definitely recommend this course, and will be looking to attend another course at Zantium in the future. Thank you for an amazing day. "

"We had a fantastic afternoon with Rowena - she explained everything brilliantly, helped us through each stage of making our bowls and we’re now looking forward to seeing the final results after they’ve been dried etc. It was an afternoon of laughs - the quote of the day being “it’s so much harder when you’re moist …”. I wholeheartedly recommend booking this course."

Michelle reviewed: Wool Felt Applique at Mrs B-R's Craft Station.

"I attended a wool felt appliqué course and chose to make one from many selections of gorgeous penny mats. I was made to feel extremely welcome by Nicky the tutor and all other members in the group of 6. It was lovely to meet like minded people so interested in sewing. Help was given remembering how to sew some of the stitches, cutting out and using the iron on glue sheets. I felt like a kid in a sweet shop looking at all the gorgeous wool felt colours, buttons, hanging felt projects hanging off a decorative tree, etc. Lunch was provided from a local cafe which was delicious, plenty of parking is available on the premises and lots of coffees and drinks offered throughout the day. I would thoroughly recommend one of these courses!"

Sophie was really welcoming, explained each step and let us focus on what we wanted to work on, lots of different fabrics to play with and we were given free rein to raid the garden to get flowers and foliage to try out. The venue was stunning, the food outstanding and the welcome unbeatable. Highly recommend."

"Despite having painted on and off for years I had never used oils. Even after a lovely friend bought me a set for my birthday a few years ago. Oils were surely only for the “really good” people! So I signed up for this after doing a few of Louise’s other courses. It was fantastic. I love the way the oils feel when you paint. A still life was a perfect way to start and we all developed our own compositions with Louise’s help. I would highly recommend - as will all Louise’s courses you will come away with a painting you can be proud of 😁"

"I did this course with Louise and was delighted with my finished painting - Louise helps you build a painting over 4 weeks, experimenting with different types of mark making using a pallet knife and a range of colours to make the painting “pop”. My painting is hanging on our wall at home and always gets compliments ☺️ Would highly recommend no matter what your experience, or confidence levels of painting are "

"Had an absolutely fab day at the stunning Boho Shed based in Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden today learning how to make a footstool. Jo made us all feel very welcome and put us at ease straight away. She is very patient and explained everything in a clear and easy to follow way. She explained everything from the choice of fabrics through to the materials needed and tools we would be using. Everything was there ready for us to all create wonderful and individual footstools and I think it is safe to say every one of us left there happy. I would highly recommend and hope to attend another of her courses in the future. Thankyou Jo and thanks to your Mum for lovely cakes !! Louise x"

There was an amazing amount of tiles in different textures, colours and shapes, together with templates and other materials. The workshop had a range of Frances's work for examples and inspiration. The setting in the midst of colourful cottage gardens and by the river was extremely pleasant. Thank you Frances for a wonderful course and day."

She made sure everything we needed for the day was provided so it was really good value for money (and convenient). She taught us all about the materials, tools and techniques to upholstery our footstools and I left feeling confident I could do some upholstery at home... and with a footstool I'm really proud of :-) "
