"Superb course. Julian is a very knowledgeable, experienced and skilled man. He taught me a great deal in the day and was happy to adjust things in line with my wishes and aims of the day. Fantastic day... highly recommend the course and Julian as tutor."

Ed H reviewed: Craft Your Own Longbow: One To One Woodworking Class

"I did the longbow course with Matt this last weekend and it was an absolute joy! He's super personable and knowledgeable, and also a fantastic teacher. We worked on the bow together, him modelling the tools and techniques before letting me at it. As we were working, he was giving tips and supporting my work in a really useful way, helping me work around the idiosyncrasies of the particular piece of wood. We had time to shoot a few arrows at the end of the day too, and it shot like a dream! In addition to the woodworking, the woods were a really brilliant place to spend a day, and Matt's enthusiasm for them was a real highlight. We had a good chat over lunch about the work he's doing, and I'm definitely planning to be back when the bluebells are out! "

Manor Wood responded:

"Hi Ed, thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely review! So glad you enjoyed the course, hope to see you again at Manor Wood. Matt"

Rhiannon reviewed: Garden Sculpture Course

"I was very lucky to get the last spot on the blacksmithing garden sculpture course. Never done any blacksmithing before but Billy was brilliant. Everything was explained really well with much humour and patience, the area is stunning, properly feels like in the middle of nowhere and you get to walk away with some beautiful creations that you did yourself. I also got to have a go using a grinder and a MIG welder, none of which I've used before, but under Billy's tutelage I was more than happy with. A brilliant day overall and I have something to show for my efforts that doesn't take up any more space in the house."

Bill's Workshop responded:

"Hey Rhiannon! Thanks for much for the kind review and i'm thoroughly pleased you enjoyed your day in the forge! It was great hosting you and hope to see you again in the future on a different course perhaps, until then i hope the massive mushrooms you made enjoy there new garden spot! All the best Billy"
