"I booked a one-to-one day with Paul to improve my skills and confidence in woodturning. I had done some turning before so didn't want an absolute beginner's course, but nor did I want to be in a group with people a lot more advanced than me. One-to-one seemed ideal - and it was! Before the day I sent Paul a list of skills I'd like to improve, and tools I'd like to try, and throughout the day we ticked off most of the list. Paul is highly skilled and knowledgable, but was able to relate to my much lower ability level and work with me where I was. Paul's manner was friendly and supportive throughout, balancing sufficient challenge with great patience! Overall a very worthwhile day, and I may well return in the future for another session. "

A totally brilliant day, and my hare sculpture has pride of place in my dining room."

"Arrived at Anne’s fairytale cottage a little flustered and fragile after bickering with the sat nav and heavily pregnant. Felt welcomed instantly. Her mosaic work shop was a haven away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas prep life! A space of creativity, colour and warmth. She facilitated beautifully, adapting it to suit my intent to create a house number. She explained the process and demonstrated without imposing a particular “way” but offered enough guidance for experiment and discovery. Had some great chats , lovely chai tea and festive treats. I came away with a big smile and a product I really love! Highly recommend for those who want tranquillity away from everyday life and lots of laughs. "

"I loved making the clay hare! The pack was very well put together with clear instructions about what to do. The online video was very helpful. The whole process was throughly enjoyable and I learned a lot. I thought the bronze gilt effect at the end was a great touch and really made the piece. I can say I have been bitten by the clay sculpture bug and have now started on another piece myself "
