"I really enjoyed my morning class with Vajira. Her knowledge and expertise in the craft is amazing. I made a beautiful wallet from the wonderful choice of leather. All my questions were answered and I learned so much more about the craft than I was expecting. I highly recommend this class for beginners. Vajira is great at explaining the different ways to approach the craft and helped me afterwards too with some more information. I can't wait to try my new skills at home. Thank you so much. "

Neil Serjeant reviewed: One day fused glass course at North Norfolk Stained Glass

"This was an excellent course! I'm not particularly crafty, but really enjoyed learning to use the tools and creating something. Paul was personable, greeting us as we pulled in. He proved himself to be knowledgeable, patient and helpful; he judged well when to intervene and when to just let us get on with it - I felt empowered but safe! The course was a present for my wife and she thoroughly enjoyed the day too. We would both heartily recommend the day."

Amanda McGuinness reviewed: Business candle making workshop - one to one

"What can I say, wow, my husband & I attended Kerry's candle business workshop 27th May 24. I have had the pleasure of knowing Kerry for some years through buying her lovely candles and most recently, when my husband & I opened our own Home Interiors shop. On changing from a shop to online we decided to introduce our own candles to our website, obviously it was a no brainer to go to Kerry for the training & knowledge. We came away excited to move to the next stage. The workshop was very informative, fun & solidified our decision to start our own business in candles. Kerry was happy to answer all our questions, even the silly ones. Bonus being we both got to make our first candles, which we get to burn in a few days. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to make the dream a reality of having your own Candle business. Thank you Kerry. "

Will reviewed: Beginners 1-day 1-2-1 woodturning workshop for 1 person

"I recently attended a full day wood turning course and had a great time. I made 2 projects that I'm really pleased with and learned a lot while doing it. Simon is a great teacher and I felt that the whole day was tailored to suit me. I have some previous woodworking experience but no turning experience and we were able to go quickly where there was common ground, and then take more time with the new concepts. Simon took me through the basics of spindle work and bowl turning, giving me the opportunity to get to grips with lots of techniques and tools. Throughout the day, he took the time to explain not just what to do, but why certain tools and techniques would or wouldn't work in different situations which worked really well for me as I like to know how things work! It was really clear to me that the purpose of the day wasn't just to have a nice time (which I did!) but also to teach the basics such that a novice could learn enough to safely start turning as a hobby themselves. Simon explained what to look for in a lathe, what tools you would need to get started, and how to use them safely. As a bonus I was also provided with a digital download containing a write-up of all of the things we had done during the day for future reference. The provided lunch was delicious and the setting in the garden was really nice too. All in all, I had a great day and am keen to do more wood turning and can definitely see myself coming back for another session!"

Blended Monkey - pottery - woodturning - green woodworking - pole lathe - throwing responded:

"Hi Will, So glad you got so much out of the day and I look forward to seeing you again soon. — Simon"

Jim Mawson reviewed: 1 Day Foraging Course

"The wife and I did the foraging course in May ‘24, and had an absolutely lovely time. Gary and his partner Nicola we very friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and took us for a delightful stroll about the countryside local to Dunn St Farm, stopping to talk frequently about the different plant species we found, how to identify them and their uses both for food and medicine. We gathered our findings as a group and the tour wound up at an incredible rustic camp in the woods where we cooked it all up to a fabulous meal for everyone - was not expecting the last part but absolutely loved it! We’re now looking forward to exploring our local countryside again to see what we can find :)"

Divya Malhotra reviewed: Colour from Plants - An Introduction to Natural Dyeing

"I had a wonderful time at Kendall's natural plant dyeing workshop. As a complete beginner, I was quite clueless, but by the end I was excited to continue experimenting. Through-out the workshop I was ‘wowed’ by the magical things common plants can create. Kendall's warm welcome and expert guidance were a real blessing. She was patient and answered questions, even when the answers were potentially obvious. This open attitude created a relaxed learning environment. The hands-on approach of the workshop was fantastic. We all worked together, experimenting with different plant dyes and materials. Kendall explained the processes involved, and I was amazed by the colours we were able to achieve. She continuously reminded us of the importance of experimentation. And note keeping! Kendall's knowledge and passion for natural dyeing were truly inspiring. As a weaver and artist herself, she was open when asked to share her fascinating creative journey, which added another dimension to the workshop. By the end we left with detailed colour cards of the fibres and fabrics we had worked on in class, showcasing the effects of plant dyes on various fibres and how modification, post-dyeing could result in different colours. This class has given me the confidence to continue experimenting and exploring natural dyeing on my own, in a safe way. Overall, I highly recommend Kendall's natural plant dyeing workshop. It was a fun, informative, and inspiring experience."

Diana Douglas reviewed: Ecoprinting with Bookbinding with Earthwise Ecoprints

"An exceptional day. Excellent tuition first and then guidance, as we worked on our own pieces. It was so good to have plenty of useful samples to take home. Fiona was well prepared. She brought a sizeable amount of equipment with her (to Cabus VH) - not just for the steaming but for us to have to work on - under her instruction. I really was very impressed. Such an enjoyable day, tiring yes, but so worthwhile. Thank you, Fiona. You are special and your day was special, too."

Earthwise Ecoprints responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review Diana. It was fabulous to return to teach again in Garstang and the brilliant group made it so special. I am so pleased you enjoyed it and hopefully you can continue to Ecoprint and make more books at home. Looking forward to my return visit next year."
