"Brilliant course! A very quiet and relaxing atmosphere in the woods under a canopy. It rained a lot one of the days and we didn’t really even notice so don’t worry about the weather! Celi really knows her stuff and is a great teacher. Very calm and patient and takes her time with everyone individually as well as demonstrating to everyone. Really nice home cooked food too, with plenty of tea/coffee breaks. "

"This was a wonderful experience of trying mediums that I'd not used before. The relaxing pace, in a homely environment and small group made the experience even more pleasurable. Jan was inviting and clearly natural at making us feel at ease whatever our level. Relaxed conversations all whilst guiding us through the stages of the splendid projects. She knew when to input guidance and when to allow our creativity to take over. It was delightful to have her facilitate my output of creativity delving deep into her craft stashes to present me with an array of choices that might fit the developing ideas generating in my head as I worked through the project. I'm so happy with my first time result and mainly due to Jan empowering that feeling that the journey of art should be fun! I look forward to doing further courses and recommend greatly the experience. "

"Fantastic wood working course. I learned so much today about the tools, wood composition and techniques. I was able to put it to practical use with a flower that everyone did and then a free style project. It was a small group setting which allowed for plenty of one on one instruction and help. I’d recommend this for any budding wood carving enthusiast. "

"I attended this course last yesterday. On arrival I was greeted with a smile by Simon who proceeded to take me to and show me his work shop. The workshop is well equipped. Simon skilfully explained the lathe and its tools. The day proceeded with me getting some experience with different cuts. We stopped for lunch which was a very appetising farm house lunch. The afternoon was devoted to making a wood bowl. I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn wood turning. Great tutor. "

"The entire experience was excellent from start to finish! Hot fires, melted metal, the sound of hammers throughout our day. Ben was a brilliant teacher and guide. As were all the other tutors! 100/10. Nothing negative can be said. Genuinely awesome fun. And you get to create something truly unique to yourself. Definitely doing this again multiple times!"

"Absolutely amazing 3-hour course in which we each made a viking knife or a herb cutter (our choices). Great tuition, and we were left to our own devices (safely!) with expert guidance when needed. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes and long trousers and sleeves. I thought I might not be strong enough, but even at age 60 my strength was enough...with a little help from Benedict just a couple of times. Have a couple of plasters to hand, and a water bottle. Excellent experience, I highly recommend doing this course and am very proud of my knife. "

The best bits were that I got to use a range of traditional and modern tools when making my window frame.
