Alice Reeves-Redhead reviewed: Interior design and decor onsite 5 week course

"I’ve just finished the 5 week interior design course and it really was amazing. I learnt an incredible amount and Nikki was a fantastic teacher. The learning environment is gorgeous and Nikki really does go the extra mile to make sure you get the very most out of the experience. It was an incredibly inspiring course, so much so that, I have enrolled on an interior design distance learning course to continue my studies. I really can’t recommend the course more highly."

Robert Todd reviewed: Sculpture workshop two days with Jo Garden Art in beautiful rural Norfolk/Suffolk border setting

"An absolutely brilliant weekend. Having arrived with zero experience and a head full of dreams and aspirations, Jo and Andy literally encouraged, guided and gently taught me all the stages and techniques to realise and create a garden sculpture that has genuinely exceeded all expectations. In a beautiful relaxed location and well equipped studio, they have created a warm, welcoming and the most friendly atmosphere, where all participants can not fail to be inspired. Thank you so much. It's an experience I shall never forget. I will remember my weekend of being a sculptor every time I look at my 'running man'. :-)"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review Robert ;-) It was a pleasure working with you and your homage to the world record marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge was truly fabulous. I can't wait to see a picture of him in his final position in your garden!"

Judith Dale reviewed: Dressmaking Workshops with Catherine Demet.

"I was a complete beginner when I attended one of Catherine’s courses. She is so very knowledgeable and patient and I had such a good day even managing to complete my wool jacket in a day! Catherine gave me the confidence to start to sew at home and I have gone on to make the longer version of this coat which I love. I would recommend attending one of her courses as a beginner or someone that has some knowledge of sewing. Such a great day."

Faye Bowerman reviewed: ColourWheel art classes for adults - Maidenhead - Thursday

"As an absolute novice who hasn’t done any art since the age of 13 (and many years have since passed) I nearly didn’t go to the taster class. I did go though, and I loved it! I couldn’t wait to start the course, the ability to get such guidance that you produce a finished picture each week, is so rewarding. Combined with an opportunity to try a range of mediums to see what suits you best, is a real opportunity. However, the biggest joy comes from the friendly, encouraging and fun filled classes that just makes me count the days until the next class! What I thought would be far out of my comfort zone is actually giving me a new found love and confidence. I would highly recommend it!"

Jan Rix reviewed: Christmas Pudding - needle felting workshop with The Lady Moth

"What a lovely workshop. The Lady Moth is a kind and patient tutor, and because it was a small group, there was plenty of time for everyone to be given the guidance we needed. All first timers and yet we were able to make a lovely creation to take home. Highly recommended."

Julie Scotland reviewed: ColourWheel art classes for adults - Maidenhead - Thursday

"I have been attending the Colourwheel course for quite a few years now having not done any art since school. Both Erica and Inge are great teachers and everything is expertly organised by Rene. It's also fantastic that the course in Maidenhead is run at Norden Farm or Sportsable - two great charities so good to give money to these worthwhile causes. All materials are supplied on the course so you just need to turn up. You get to create your art using a variety of mediums eg pencil, coloured pencil, charcoal, ink, lino printing, brusho, watercolour, acrylic and even collage. Other students are very encouraging and now friends outside of the course. The course takes you away from your everyday worries for 3 hours and I look forward each week to the new challenges set for us."

James law reviewed: Mosaic one day workshop for adults with Caroline Jariwala, Birmingham

"What can I say about Caroline and this 1 day course. After debating for a while about trying to put my hand to mosaic art, I finally took the plunge and booked onto a Sunday course. Absolutely fantastic day, Caroline's knowledge, tips, personality and abundance of hot drinks and snacks made the whole day feel like I was with a bunch of friends. I walked away from the day with an art piece for my garden, lots of new knowledge about mosaic art, and a great feeling of achievement. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone, whether experienced in mosaic art or not. Thank you for an amazing day Caroline, I look forward to putting everything I learned with you into a new art piece to continue the new theme in my garden."

Dot Balcombe reviewed: Abstract Architecture: mixed media: Peak District, Derbyshire

"Pam is an excellent tutor and her workshops are delightful. The studio does indeed have a view and is a perfect place for an arty day. In spite of my struggles to get there on time because of snow in my part of the world, I managed to complete the project with Pam's advice on what parts I could skip over. Lunch was delicious too. I have no doubt that I'll be in more Pam Smart workshops in the future."

Pam Smart Studio responded:

"Hi Dot Thank you for taking the time once again to complete a review- it is much appreciated and I’m sure your positive comments will encourage others. I hope to see you again. Best wishes Pam Smart"

Elizabeth Noakes reviewed: Mosaic one day workshop for adults with Caroline Jariwala, Birmingham

"What a wonderful day we had! Thank you Caroline for a lovely day. We learnt valuable tips right from the get-go. New skills, great "cheats" and tips, loads of inspirational ideas. Caroline generously shares and adapts for all skill levels. We met interesting folk, ate scrummy food, revelled in the heavenly mosaic surroundings. Will definitely recommend to everyone - even if that means future bookings are like gold dust."

Sarah reviewed: Feltmaking - OOH the choices!

"Great day with Barbara - making my beautiful Nuno silk and felt scarf. I really did not expect to be able to make something so beautiful - particularly since I was a first time felter. A lovely day with my sister - working together on our projects - I can highly recommend the course - we will be back to do another scarf or maybe have a go at Batik next time, We were really looked after by Barbara - she is so patient and helpful - and makes a lovely vegetable soup! Great value for money - a full day of activity, plus tutoring , plus lunch and a beautiful handmade one-off scarf - fab!"

pat Harper reviewed: ColourWheel art classes for adults - Maidenhead - Thursday

"I had been attending an Art class elsewhere but became dis-satisfied with the teaching and the student/teacher inter-action. I made the decision to change to Colourwheel in Maidenhead and have been delighted with it. They care for each individual and make extremely pertinent remarks to each student. There is also a great atmosphere in the class group encouraged and maintained by the staff. The class is one of the highlights of my week!"

Sarah Heaton reviewed: Garden mosaic workshop

"I treated my friend to a mosaic workshop with Lynda, having already attended one myself last summer, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Lynda is friendly and welcoming, and we had a very enjoyable day, taking home with us the skills and info we need to add the finishing touches to our individual projects. If you have not tried mosaicking before, Lynda's workshop is a great way to dip your toe in the water, and if you are like me, you will be keen to return. Thank you Lynda for your help, enthusiasm, patience and encouragement - we had a truly special day"

Creating Mosaics responded:

"It was so lovely to see you again It was a delight to see you produce a "night time" version of your original mosaic. So impressed with your interpretation and use of materials. Well done Sarah. x"

Aynsley reviewed: Wire & mixed media sculpture courses with James Ort

"I would highly recommend the Wire & Mixed Media Sculpture course and the Clay Animals course to anyone. It is quite amazing what everyone is able to produce in a relatively short period of time - with the expert help of the course tutor. One can only hope a little of James' skill rubs off !"
