Hannah TW reviewed: Crafty Basketry's Weaving Christmas Wreaths and / or other Decorations at Tenterden

"I loved this course! I did the mornings making of a wreath and had a great time. It was very relaxing, I found that I had completely zoned out and was just thinking about what I was doing and making, which as a mum of 3, was very enjoyable. Marianne was a great teacher, she let us go at our own pace, showed us how to create as we went along and was full of knowledge and passion. I absolutely love my wreath and I’m looking forward to redecorating it seasonally as I have mine indoors. I would highly recommend this course, I had never done anything like it before, although I am very crafty, and it was very beginner friendly. Marianne helped us choose which willow to use and told us why and had also bought along some foliage so we could decorate afterwards. Nothing felt rushed at any point, it was just fabulous! The setting we were at was also stunning which was an added bonus. Thanks so much Marianne!! "

Crafty Basketry responded:

"Thanks so much for your review, Hannah. Super, to hear that you were fully immersed in it all. As a mum, it's good to get your own space from time to time. Was also really nice for you and Rebecca to have some time without the kids wanting all your attention. Hope you'll get more opportunities like this to be yourself. But for now, back to crocheting. I love your designs!"

"Great creative day! Emma's tuition is easy to follow with tips on design, colours and techniques. So nice to have a small class so you can get all the help you need. Next time I would definitely spend more time on the design prior to coming so I could crack on quicker as I ran out of time a little. Would definitely like to do course in the future."

Sam reviewed: Linocut Christmas Cards 2024: Afternoon Workshop

"I had a brilliant day making linocut prints with Gerry Coles! I’m so pleased with the results of my efforts! It was such an enjoyable afternoon learning to design, cut and print greetings cards and prints using a range of good quality tools, lino, ink and paper. Gerry was a wonderful teacher as well as a perfect host, supplying tea, coffee, mince pies and chocolates to fuel our efforts. The work space was very spacious, well lit and comfortable and full of inspirational prints and objects. Gerry was a great instructor, very helpful and allowed plenty of time to finish up printing. I feel like the experience was superb value for money. "

Gerry Coles Prints responded:

"Thank you Sam for taking the trouble to leave such a kind and thoughtful review. It was lovely to meet you and to see the amazing prints you produced. Best wishes for Christmas and for 2025 Gerry"

June A reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Can't quite believe I managed to stay awake for the most exciting craft intensive day I've done in the past 15 years. This was value for money certainly and even with a small group Jo was on her feet supporting, demonstrating, preparing from 9 through to 5 and even over lunch. At no time did I feel out of my depth and to actually get to take home a complete finished leaping hare was mind-blowing.I felt such a sense of achievement not just for me but for everyone. Each hare was different and amazing For anyone who thought they couldn't do that, then I would highly recommend they join one of Jo's sessions...because she makes the the unbelievable, achievable for everyone. One shattered sculptor later....it was just so very worth it.Thanks Jo."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Wow June - what a wonderful, heart warming review. I consider myself a 'facilitator' rather than a sculptor or artist. I believe anyone can achieve a work of art if the stages are broken down and explained. Thank you again for your kind words. Jo xx"

Having turned up a complete novice, he talked me through all of the steps of mig welding and within no time at all I was managing to perform a range of types of welds. I cannot believe how much I learnt in the day. Absolute champion! Thanks again, Tony!"

Newport Wrought Ironwork responded:

"Hi Myles, I am very happy you enjoyed the course . Keep practicing the welding and you will be creating things from metal in a very short time. If you require any advice when purchasing your own mig welder or any equipment please contact me. Regards Tony ."

Kate mitchyn reviewed: Hand Embroidery Winter Berry workshop with Rachel Davies

"Had course as a Christmas present from my husband and what a lovely one it was. I had a brilliant time. Rachel is so welcoming, explaining everything in detail step by step. All course materials were provided even down to the bead needle being threaded for you. No question felt like a stupid one and Rachel was full of advice to add extra details to your work. Well worth the cost, in a beautiful settling with a tutor who was very well prepared and is a lovely person. I will certainly be doing some courses in the future. Thank you Rachel was a fantastic introduction to a type of embroidery that I have never done before."
