Lynn reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"This was a new experience for us which we thoroughly enjoyed. Sebastian is a knowledgeable and patient teacher. We learnt a great deal. One tip as a complete novice to stone carving - choose a reasonably soft stone to work on, or at least a stone that is similar in consistency to your practice stone. It makes carving a lot easier."

Kate Forbes reviewed: Sari bags

"This was a really good course - the tutor was very knowledgeable, well prepped, patient, friendly and had a huge amount of fabrics to choose from. She has a background in art teaching, and it shows. The lunch provided - freshly cooked warm salads and home-made cake - deserves a special 5* all of its own! I'd say it's probably best aimed at people who've already got some experience with textiles/sewing machines. With my very limited skill set, I found it quite an ambitious project for 5.5 hours, and didn't come close to finishing in time unfortunately. Others in the group did make some beautiful bags though. "Amanda is very warm and welcoming, she demonstrates and explains everything clearly, then you’re free to weave away in your own creative style. Help was available throughout the day to provide further techniques to progress your weaving style if you choose, it’s all very relaxed. I enjoyed the day very much and would definitely do it again. Molly reviewed: Willow Wreath Class

"I really enjoyed the willow wreath workshop with Chrissy. She had lots of great materials and gave just enough guidance so I felt supported but still completed the wreath on my own. Chrissy had lots of helpful suggestions to help me create the vision I had in mind. I went home with a beautiful handmade wreath which will last for years to come! "

Chrissy Webster Mosaic & Craft responded:

"Thank you for sending a lovely review, and great to meet you Molly. "

Ella reviewed: Introduction to woodturning: one to one

"I had the most wonderful day learning how to turn a bowl with the expertise and support from a true craftsman. Bill is a lovely man and took me through the process at a perfect pace with patience and encouragement. He was happy to answer any questions I had and explained things in detail using props to clarify. I’m over the moon with the bowl I took home and gained from the day everything I had hoped to and more. I’m hoping to get the opportunity to return and make something different in future. Thank you so much! 🙂"

Penny reviewed: Modern Calligraphy (1 day) in the Peak District

"This was a marvellous course. The facilities were good - the room was light and airy and there was a delicious lunch and plentiful supply of drinks....but more importantly the teacher was excellent. Ali clearly explained everything and she was very attentive to our individual work and queries. I came away feeling enthused and delighted with the work I had done and seen. I only wish there was a follow-up course!! "

Zantium Studios Ltd responded:

A follow up class could work well... Enjoy your new calligraphy skills. Your cards will be signed with a flourish this year!"
