"I have been doing courses with Martin since January 2017. It's a really learning experience. Martin helps you achieve whatever you want, no matter how challenging it is. He provides a safe environment to work in. I will continue to attend his classes as long as I'm able to."

Martin McAssey Glass responded:

"Thank you for the nice review, I look forward to seeing you again next term."

Diane Kammerling reviewed: 1 Day Bring Your Own Upholstery Project

"What a stimulating and great day of learning with Lucy. Right from the start Lucy was very warm and welcoming and you feel at ease. Huge learning curve but Lucy is with you every step of the way and I came away feeling very enthused in continuing my pathway in Reupholstery. Loved it and would recommend wholeheartedly. Would love to do more courses."

Roundedby responded:

"Oh Di, thank you - this has made me smile, I love it when people 'catch' the upholstery bug! Well done for working so hard on your footstool, it was certainly one of the more memorable "what do we think is inside?" discoveries! You did such a great job, and I love how the pattern sits on the loaf shape of the stool - hope to see you again! Lucy"

Juliet reviewed: Fused glass Christmas decorations (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"A wonderfully productive day which I would thoroughly recommend. As a beginner excellent instruction, guidance and advice was given during the day whilst I was able to work at my own pace. Martin gives clear precise instructions in a very well organised workshop with everything you need on hand. Martin is incredibly patient being prepared to repeat demonstrations as many times as needed. I was amazed at the items I was able to make during the day and look forward to returning to do another course."

Martin McAssey Glass responded:

"Thank you for the lovely review, I'm really glad you enjoyed your day."

Leanne reviewed: It's raining cats and dogs - painting pets in watercolour

"Thoroughly enjoyable day - painting with the talented, wonderfully funny Liz Chaderton - in the beautiful setting of Micklems Farm. Extremely good value for money, given all supplies are included. Liz provides perfectly placed tutorials and demonstrations throughout the day, and ensures everyone is comfortable and gets the support they need. The subject matter for this watercolours course was cats and dogs, which was simply lovely to work on. Liz brings plenty of inspiration for those who don't have pets themselves. I just loved this course. It was a privilege to spend time with Liz and learn the art of watercolours! "

Liz Chaderton Artist responded:

"Hi Leanne What a delightful review. Thank you so much. You quite made me blush. Hope you might want to come back again in 2025. Lizx"

Rebecca Stewart reviewed: Crafty Basketry's Weaving Christmas Wreaths and / or other Decorations at Tenterden

"What an incredible course, in the most glorious setting! Highly recommended. I created the most beautiful woven wreath and feel those skills are something that I will use again and again. A craft that’s tactile and allows you to loose yourself in nature. Marianne was an incredible guide, who taught us the skills as we worked. There was no lost practice time from the moment we walked in to the moment we left with our treasured wreaths."

Crafty Basketry responded:

"Thank you so much for your review and recommendation, Rebecca, Would be great, if you could use it in a forest school setting. With your DIY background, it'll be easy to apply the skills to a whole manner of items. Have fun!"

Ruth Cheesley reviewed: Linocut one day workshop: one to one

"Absolutely wonderful day with Annette learning all about linocutting! I had bought a kit and done a bit of experimenting myself but there's nothing that compares to sitting down with an artist and learning from their decades of experience. Annette is a fantastic teacher and really took the time to understand what I wanted to work on and the areas where I wanted to develop my skills. We had a great day focusing both on techniques and the all important lessons in how to get a good print when you've finished with the carving. I was able to make four small blocks for repeat printing on wrapping paper, and one larger block of a butterfly which we worked on for single prints. I loved being able to try different techniques like multi-layer prints which I wouldn't have come across otherwise, they came out really well! It was great to use her printing press which of course gives much better results than hand-pressing. Definitely recommend the course, Annette's knowledge is vast and she's incredibly helpful in pointing you towards tools, equipment and resources to ensure you can keep on printing when you get home!"

Annette Rolston responded:

"Thanks Ruth. Am glad you enjoyed the workshop. Happy printing. "

David reviewed: Blacksmithing Introduction courses in Yorkshire and the North East

"Unable to attend as Dad had a stroke day B4 I needed to attend, contacted them straight away to swap the date to next one but refused said needs to be 8 weeks prior to cancel. If only someone had told me 8 weeks earlier (before purchase) that Dad was going to require urgent medical care probably wouldn't have bought it!! "

Michael Foster reviewed: Router Day Class

"A great confidence building course in the use of routers. The course covers everything and then you get hands-on use whilst being supervised and corrected where needed - and I needed it! I have come away from it, not just with the confidence to use it and use it safely but also with new ideas on projects to do. I have been putting it off for a long time with my new router gathering dust so I'm really happy I now have the confidence to use it."

Hannah TW reviewed: Crafty Basketry's Weaving Christmas Wreaths and / or other Decorations at Tenterden

"I loved this course! I did the mornings making of a wreath and had a great time. It was very relaxing, I found that I had completely zoned out and was just thinking about what I was doing and making, which as a mum of 3, was very enjoyable. Marianne was a great teacher, she let us go at our own pace, showed us how to create as we went along and was full of knowledge and passion. I absolutely love my wreath and I’m looking forward to redecorating it seasonally as I have mine indoors. I would highly recommend this course, I had never done anything like it before, although I am very crafty, and it was very beginner friendly. Marianne helped us choose which willow to use and told us why and had also bought along some foliage so we could decorate afterwards. Nothing felt rushed at any point, it was just fabulous! The setting we were at was also stunning which was an added bonus. Thanks so much Marianne!! "

Crafty Basketry responded:

"Thanks so much for your review, Hannah. Super, to hear that you were fully immersed in it all. As a mum, it's good to get your own space from time to time. Was also really nice for you and Rebecca to have some time without the kids wanting all your attention. Hope you'll get more opportunities like this to be yourself. But for now, back to crocheting. I love your designs!"

Amy reviewed: Mosaic/chat/create! with award winning mosaicist Emma Abel

"Great creative day! Emma's tuition is easy to follow with tips on design, colours and techniques. So nice to have a small class so you can get all the help you need. Next time I would definitely spend more time on the design prior to coming so I could crack on quicker as I ran out of time a little. Would definitely like to do course in the future."

"It was lovely to meet you Amy and your mosaic sunset worked very well with the colours and andamento you chose. Thanks so much for this review."
