"I really enjoyed my pottery class, I haven’t worked with clay since school but I remembered loving it. Was the first time I used a wheel but Chris was so patient teaching me the steps. Was such a peaceful and relaxing experience. I’m so pleased with my pieces. Definitely would love to learn more. Thank you Chris"

Adam Clarke reviewed: Blacksmithing one-to-one North West UK

"Cannot recommend this course more highly. Bob immediately makes you feel welcome at the forge and puts any nerves at ease. His teaching style is amazing, allowing you to make mistakes and then helping you fix them and learn from it, which I found lets you really understand the point of the lesson. I made two items to take home with me, a poker and a toasting fork which are so good that people are now accusing me of stealing Bob’s work and passing it off as my own. That is a great endorsement of his teaching. I would absolutely go back for a follow up course. Thanks Bob!"

Tony Goldsmith reviewed: Beginners 1-day 1-2-1 woodturning workshop for 1 person

"The day was a Christmas present from my wife. I had done some woodturning at school, some 45 years ago, but remembered none of it. The workshop Simon has is lovely and the set up great. Simon is a really good teacher, explains things very clearly and patiently and lets you try things for yourself. I found the day flew by and the turning was very therapeutic. I came away with 2 really pleasing bits of work, and the bug. I will definitely do more woodturning. As I said above, the workshop was really nice. It is well kept and safety is obviously a high priority for Simon. He provided all the gear you needed and had excellent ventilation systems. There is nothing I could fault by the day. Louise provided a lovely lunch to round off a perfect day. I thoroughly recommend this course."

Blended Monkey - pottery - woodturning - green woodworking - pole lathe - throwing responded:

"Hi Tony, Thanks for a great review :) I hope the course inspired you to take up the craft and, if you need any more help, please get in touch. If you get fed up with the Tesla, I'll happily take it off your hands.... :) All the best, Simon"

Sarah Hawker reviewed: Introduction to Silkscreen Printing in Cambridgeshire

"My daughter and I spent a lovely day with Judith on her screen printing course. I had done some screen printing many years ago and I very much enjoyed trying it again. Judith paced the day well, introducing us to various techniques and offering help and advice when needed. As there were only three students we all felt we had had a very worthwhile experience. Judith inspired us with examples of her beautiful work and I came away wanting to do more at home. Lovely coffee and cake as well! Thanks, Judith!"

print paper stitch experiences responded:

"Hi Sarah, thank you very much for your review. It was a great pleasure to have you and Anna here for the day, and I hope you get chance to continue to turn your beautiful illustrations into prints. With very best wishes Judith"

Helen Mitchell reviewed: Ecodyeing - a full day introduction to leaves, rust, heat and fabric alchemy!

"This was an excellent workshop. Great value for money....I felt like I came away with so many useful pieces of fabric, a silk scarf, and another length of silk that could be finished into a scarf. The weather was beautiful, and it was a brilliant day. And this is definitely something I will be doing from home....started searching on line for the things I will need so I can make a start. Thanks Judy....can’t wait to get started on my new craft"

Judy P. dye - print - weave responded:

"Thanks Helen, I’m really glad you got such a lot out of the workshop. You were an enthusiastic learner and produced lovely work."

Jay Bailey reviewed: Beginners bowl carving

"What an amazing few days with Nick. Even having a few years of woodworking and woodturning knowledge, I definitely can say I learnt a LOT in those two days. Nick is very passionate and knowledgeable about what he teaches. His teaching is very clear, well organised and even a novice can grasp both complex and basic techniques (although it certainly does take practise!). Nick and his family were very welcoming, entertaining and the food was delicious! I hope I can return to one of Nicks courses and learn more from the master. Thank you Gosman Spoon Co."

Gosman Spoon Co. responded:

"Thanks so much for your review Jay, it’s much appreciated :)"

Kate reviewed: Leather Possibles Pouch Workshop

"We thoroughly enjoyed our day. We are in no way crafty and we were a bit worried beforehand that this course would be a bit beyond us, but the instructors made it easy to follow. They were happy to let you crack on and do things for yourself, but always on hand to give you extra help if needed. You got to cut out the leather, dye it and stitch it, as well as using various tools. Clive and Wendy were really nice and so enthusiastic about all things leather. We are so chuffed with the pouches we made. Couldn't recommend this course enough. Excellent value for money too!"

Evancliffe Leathercraft responded:

"Thank you for leaving this review, it is greatly appreciated. We are pleased you both enjoyed the workshop and are chuffed with your pouches."

Ben reviewed: Pottery throwing day for two in the South Downs National Park

"This 2 person pottery session is fantastic. We spent the morning throwing our pots. We had four attempts at them on the wheel. It's well worth doing a one to one/ two person session because you pick so much more up than woth a large groul. Rowena is a brilliant teacher. There's always the concern with these courses that it might take a 'create what you feel' approach but Rowena explained the technique perfectly and we could see improvement in our pots as we went along. We really felt we had learnt something. In the afternoon we made a dish in a mould which gave us the opportunity to paint and decorate and get a bit creative. Rowena is going to glaze our pots and we'll pick them up in a month or so. This course is definitely well worth it, can't recommend it enough if you are looking at trying some pottery."

Liz reviewed: One day stained glass workshop London for beginners and enthusiasts

"We had a beginner's one day workshop to make sun catchers. I chose to make a squirrel and my husband made a butterfly. Tejal gave us very clear instructions and was encouraging and supportive throughout. She led us through the four stages, demonstrating and then patiently helping us choose the colour of the glass, cut the shapes, smooth the edges. Then wrap the edges before soldering them together. Tejal was very friendly and chatty, a good teacher. We really enjoyed the workshop and making stained glass shapes and would recommend this course to anyone."

GlassSeasons responded:

"Thanks Liz, appreciate your valuable feedback. I am so proud of you both!"

Anna Forrest reviewed: Introduction to Silkscreen Printing in Cambridgeshire

"What could be better than spending a day learning how to screen print in the beautiful surroundings of Judith’s home and garden? There were 3 of us - an ideal size - and we got started straight away with trying out various techniques. Judith encouraged everyone to jump straight in and mix colours, try different backgrounds and experiment with different ways of cutting stencils and silhouettes, showing us lots of inspiring work of her own and from past students. After lunch in the lovely garden we began layering up techniques to create a small print run of a piece of art we could be proud of. Trial and error was absolutely encouraged and we all came away with lovely things. I’d absolutely recommend this as a really great way to spend a creative day."

print paper stitch experiences responded:

"Hi Anna, thank you very much for your review. It was such a pleasure to have you and your mum here for the day. I am very excited to see your future prints! With best wishes Judith"

Lynn & Steve reviewed: Bespoke Interlined Curtains

"As the first husband and wife team to attend one of Janet's courses, we tried not to be competitive. We had a great day. Janet was welcoming and provided refreshments throughout the day (with a very tasty lunch!). We were learning about interlined blinds and thoroughly enjoyed it. We have full instructions to come home with and we could add notes in as we went if we wanted to. We also went through all the health and safety rules relating to blinds.... who knew?? Janet was very good at explaining and showing us what we needed to do and we have both come home with a sample handmade under supervision."

Maggie Lighten reviewed: Introduction to Lino Printing in Cambridgeshire

"It was third time lucky for me, but well worth the wait. Everything throughout the day was thought out and planned to suit everyone on the course. Judith was very encouraging and helpful at each step of the way. The workspace was light and airy with Covid precautions adhered to. I came away having learnt a lot and achieved more than expectations. I took home plenty of prints and enthusiasm to do more. Judith was a brilliant host, plenty of drinks and biscuits throughout the day and cake before leaving. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone, no previous experience needed. You'll come away with plenty of prints to be proud of."

Catherine Browning reviewed: Introduction to candle making workshop

"Thank you to Pauline and Olga for being so welcoming. I missed craft lessons very much during lockdown and was very excited about finally being able to sit down and learn something new face to face rather than online. My expectations were exceeded by the excellent teaching from Pauline and the fabulous cake and coffee from Olga. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and I am looking forward to returning in June for part 2. See you then x"
